Personally I think it’s the biggest load of old bollox going, but there you go. I keep in touch with people by either picking up the phone, sending an email or, at a push, talking to them directly via Pidgin. None of this “I’ve just been for a [zb] and now I’m about to pick my nose” updating status BS.

I think facebook is excellent, I stay in touch with old friends on it, use the chat and email features and put all my pics up on it instead of using photobucket or similar

Depends what you do with it. I keep in contact with people I would otherwise lose contact with through it, I have found old friends through it, I post pictures of days out for my friends and family to see.

I personally know nearly all of my Facebook friends, there are only about 3 out of thirty who I have never actually met.
