Hi all, here’s a few pics of the new model. It comes with mirrors and a couple of Ariels which I havent fitted yet. Will leave it for a while before I do a few mod’s
Curved blue perspex sunvisor, GB stickers, Front wheel trims, Rear mudguards on the unit.
All in all, a great model though.
Sure is a nice model! I emailed Kevin to order one but they had all been allocated so was told my name would go on the reserve list so I would get one if no one took their model. As I haven’t heard anything I guess everyone took theirs. Not that Im surprised though, I wouldn’t have not brought it if I pre-ordered one.

I emailed Astran to try and order one but never got a reply.
O well never mind one might turn up some were one day!!!
I did enjoy Ashley Coghills book The Long Haul Pioneers.
Put a search on Ebay and click the box to email you if you get a match (saves you looking so often). There maybe some-one has bought one direct from Tekno that will be looking to sell it on … would be interesting to see what price they want for it
There is a place in Belgium that has loads of Tekno models on Ebay … they are mostly on “Buy it now”.
If you find one on Ebay and it has a certificate number of over 200, it will be from Teknos allocation of 150. They were not due to get their models until the begining of October as theirs were being sent from China by sea, where Astrans were flown.
I am sorry if some people did not get a reply, but I thought I answered all emails, sorry if some slipped the net!
The response to the model has been excellent and if some people do not take up their allocation, I will pass them onto people that want them
I got my model, number 51. Also my first Tekno model. For info there was one on the Tekno stand at the IAA show in Hannover on Monday, although i couldn’t see a price on it! May be worth a call to Holland direct!

yeah that is a very nice model i hope that i can get one and that kev hasnt forgotten me, it is very authentic , no tax disc in the window lol…
hi richmond,
i noticed no road tax.also all three air susie’s are black, like you would find on a recent european tractor,on any british 111 they would be red, blue and yellow, but i think we can forgive tekno for these minor oversights .
regards andrew

My mate who done the ME as an owner driver never had tax on his motors, as he claimed to be well and truly out of the country most of the time
Never helped him though when he got tugged at top of jubilee hill coming back in and had to pay a big lump of back duty.
Although I don`t want one it really gets my goat when people buy these sort of things just to make a profit on them, meanwhile a genuine collector has either missed out or has to be bleedin robbed blind to own one.

Trouble is mate, there are people out there who will exploit others simply to make a profit. They are NOT truck enthusiasts, just money grabbing B******S who know they will get their asking price and sadly there ARE people out there who WILL pay the rediculous asking prices…
I was heavily involved in the research and design of the model and both Kevin and I are gutted that one has turned up on e bay (so quickly) for such a high asking price. We know who you are “gb trucker”, so watch out!
