Log onto the Brexit Central web site and download the seven pages of a document produced by the ERG Group which basically distils the 500 and odd pages of the EU document into basic English and Boy does it show up what Teresa and her Remainer Civil Servants are trying to stitch us up with, makes for very stark but interesting reading ! Cheers Bewick.

Cameron’s plan from the start.Fake referendum followed by fake Brexit which actually means Remain + in that we stay tied to the EU just as before but now with no UKIP MEP’s to argue and all sealed with a no future get out clause even if by some miracle we ever get the right government in power in the future. Also can only assume that selling out the country to the EU is what HM and her forces actually want and support and have done since 1973.

You think you did a good deal there Gazda401?
What about this one?
I’m gonna save £350 every week.
I had a market stall that cost me £350 a week. I’m giving it up.
So I’ll be £350 better off every week.
Well the rent should have been £350 but my Aunt Maggie argued them down, so I was actually only paying £270, but it’s still a saving of 350 ain’t it.
I won’t be able to sell my stuff on my local market any more, so I’ll have to sell it further afield I s’pose. I’m sure there’s people gasping for my insurance policies. And if I sell it elsewhere I’ll probably have to get the new customers to pay extra for it. Guess I won’t sell as much if it’s dearer, and delivery takes longer, but I’ve saved £350. And I won’t get mates rates on purchases from my old buddies down the market, I’ll be paying extra but I’ve saved £350.
So maybe selling less, to possible new customers, further away; paying more for the stuff I need, dont really matter, because I’m saving £350.
Bargain!

Let’s get this right I’m paying 270 quid rent for a foreign market stall having had to close down the local market stall where I paid no rent or shipping costs, because the foreign competition has taken all of my local customers. Then to add insult to injury I’ve gained far less customers in the foreign market than I’ve lost at home in my local market. Then my foreign competitors tell me that I also now have to be ruled by their government who I don’t get a vote over and which no surprise looks after the interests of my foreign competitors better than it does me.

Thanks CF you beat me to it [emoji1303]

This is really for Harvey, who loves this sort of thing

I watched May and Corbyn on the Sophie Ridge show yesterday and what a prick Corbyn really is. He said that we should be negotiating a better deal (no ■■■■ Sherlock) but when asked how he would do this is answer was by negotiations. The man is a complete and utter waste of space . He was asked why he would vote against the deal and he didn’t come up with a credible answer and when asked if he had read the 500 page proposal he stuttered and said not all of it. One thing May did say was that we would definitely be leaving the EU on the 29th March no matter what

His idea of a ‘better deal’ means more Remain dressed up as Leave in that we must stay in the single European market because it’s so much better to go on providing Brit jobs for foreign workers and adding to the unsustainable trade deficit and net contributions bill and then pretending to moan about the resulting austerity imposed to pay for the resulting black hole in the accounts. While also knowing that staying with the single market by definition means continuing rule by the EU which is why he wants us to stay in the EU parliament.Which explains why he’s put remainer Starmer in the job of shadow ( non ) Brexit minister not Hoey.

Only UKIP stands for Brexit all the rest are Europhile Federalists/Soviet Socialists who’ve hijacked the Brexit process to deliver Remain in all but name and actually Remain + in the case of May tying us to EU rule but, unlike Corbyn’s ideas, now with no representation whatsoever. Then to finish it all a no future get out clause.

Strangely, in the last couple of posts, I feel a small coming together of minds. :unamused:

While, from a purely personal point of view, May’s deal will see me through for 2, 3 or more years without having to jump through all the hoops in order not to be ejected back upon the hard pressed NHS and housing markets, I do see that it is not good for the country.

Where we differ is about the 2 alternatives, my tongue in cheek cartoon above gives a clue as to where I stand on those, as if you didn’t already know.

It’s clear that Heath actually jumped and took the whole country with him in 1973 into the massive black hole of an EU trade deficit and net contributions bill and allowing ourselves to be ruled by Euroland.Which was so deep that we still haven’t hit the bottom yet.Luckily people like Powell,Benn and Shore packed a hidden parachute except the Europhile Federalists found it and still won’t let us get to the rip cord.

May is actually just the ongoing lying face of the Conservative ( Federalist ) Party. The same Party that took us into the EU and that is how it is and has been since 1973.

Buzzer are you completely mad ■■? Why on earth would any MP from any of our 3 main partys take any notice of a man who speaks common sense. The one thing that the opposition never seem to mention is the arrogance and stubboness of the EU in these talks . Its all down to us not pandering to their needs
As for one or two posters on here if all else fails lets play the race card that always get them , well if you want to live as a minority then remain is the vote for you but the majority dont and voted leave in a democratic vote so live with it or jump ship with the ones who will leave when we do

To be fair it was a non binding opinion poll not a ‘democratic vote’.Just another part of Cameron’s ( and HM’s ? ) fake Brexit scam to deliver Remain + and put UKIP’s MEP’s out of the frame and Farage either swallowed it hook line and sinker or was in on it.

Where’s Juddian when we need him.

It seems that many in the remain camp have a very doom-laden, defeatist attitude to the opportunities offered by leaving the EU. They can only see bad things. Of course there are risks, and some big ones at that, but we’ll never fulfil any of those opportunities without taking that leap forward. Where would we have been if the visionaries and risk-takers of the Industrial Age and the Victorian entrepreneurs who built vast business empires had the same attitude - “Why bother building a canal system when we already know that we can move our goods on a horse and cart?” “Could be risky building a railway, passengers might burst into flames at more than running pace” and so on. We need ambitious, forward-thinking people now, not those content to sit back and be dictated to by the unelected leaders of a club which has changed its rules out of all recognition since we joined.

Interesting points, but those responsible for those industrial advances had definite plans. They were based on sound knowledge. They took calculated financial risks.
Brexit is led by politicians who are mainly trained in the classics, law and the arts. They are expert in the use of rhetoric, language and argument. They use words and emotion well.
There are precious few industrialists, engineers, scientists, medics, who are in favour of us leaving. Some yes, but not too many.
International bankers and bosses of mega corporations seem ok with Brexit however…
Advancement comes from good solid ideas, not from populist politicos waving their arms and telling us, not of plans but “visions”.
People with visions should go for “specialist care”.

Edit to add: “doom Laden remainers”?
Maybe many leavers only see the bad points of the EU and ignore it’s plus points, too?

What I want to know from you is what are the plus points as for where I am looking from its a bit like Robin Hood and his merry men, from memory they specialised in robbing the rich to give to the poor, that’s exactly what the unelected tossers that run that corrupt EU machine are doing as we breath, Buzzer

If you haven’t seen even one plus point to the EU in all the many hundreds of posts here Buzzer, made by far more informed persons than me, then I am sure I won’t be able to invent a fresh one to appeal to you now.

Unless of course you’ve just found one yourself: aren’t they imitating an English folk hero in seeking justice against rich robber Barons?
