Eu referendum whats your vote

oiltreader:
All very confusing?
Many dont like the SNP, tis true. But it seems more like em in Scotland, than dont like em.
Confused… Who is?
Results of the 2016 Election in Scotland show that more Scots voted for the other parties than did for the SNP. They do not have an overall majority in government at Holyrood.
Oily

You`re correct.
SNP do not have 50% of the popular vote, so my statement was wrong.
But they are the most popular party. More Scots like them than anyone else.

On the subject of that programme tonight . . . Boris Johnson . . . bloody hell, what a complete and utter car-crash of a performance.

Aye dexxy57 he did flounder a bit when challenged on his career as a journalist and controversial quotes written by him. Not really relevant to the forthcoming election. They all have skeletons in the cupboard that rattle a bit now again.
Oily

Is it then, that Johnson should be judged on his past performance as London Mayor, but not on his past performance as a journalist? It is the same person. Not perfectly evil, not perfectly good.
How can we judge someone on just a part of their past? We should look at everyone`s successes and failures.
Skeletons in the cupboard? No one is perfect of course, but some have a skeleton tucked away, some have a whole cemetery hidden.

I think most people have made their mind up about Johnson. He’s rarely been out of the public eye in recent years so we’ve all had a fair chance to weigh him up. Mayor, MP, Journalist, Have I Got News For You etc.
The act was good, and, to be fair, he was entertaining.
Becoming PM has raised him to a level too far. The current campaign, where he makes select (closed to the public) appearances just for the TV cameras suggests his own team are only too well aware of this.

Yep. Maybe a good enough bloke to have a drink with in the pub.
But give him the PIN for my pension savings? I think not.

As they once asked about Tricky Dicky: “Would you buy a used car from this man?”

Good article in The Guardian that I missed. Cheers.
Doesn’t really expose anything though, does it? Just confirms that he feels he can say whatever he likes, wherever he likes, to whoever he likes, with impunity.

Nothing we hadn`t seen before, maybe.

Remember Trump in election campaign 2016?
“While bragging about his standing in the national polls, Donald Trump told supporters Saturday at a campaign rally that he could shoot someone and he would still be on top. “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters,” Trump said. The Republican presidential candidate declined to elaborate when a CNN reporter later asked about his comment.”

When confronted by evidence contrary to their established position, most people will dig in deeper and defend their stance rather than take account of new evidence. If youre a committed Trump/Johnson/Corbyn fan then *new* facts wont make difference to you.

Easier to recognise this in others rather than in ourselves, of course.

Well the election campaign aspect is getting interesting with the tories shooting themselves in the foot at every opportunity, Dominic Raab is doing a splendid job at it. It is moving away from Brexit as the important issue every day. Boris has made a serious error in trying to sideline Farage. The tories just don’t get how much they are really hated by large sections of the electorate. Their sheer arrogance shines through in everything they say and do, I can see Jeremy Corbyn getting his dream coming up as a result. They can ridicule Labour as much as they want, the tories just don’t get it that people are sick of the whole shebang of Establishment and Corporate power and above all greed. Brexit is almost certainly lost and Brino is more than doubtful.

Found this amusing, what do you think ? Buzzer

I my job I meet many working class people day to day, and there is no love for Citizen Corbyn and his Communist party, in particular after that back to the 1970’s but even worse manifesto. I think Corbyn has been one of the best things to happen to labour  I can see a Conservative landslide victory…

Ten seconds on www would have checked it out.
Did you actually read it?
84 MPs drink-driving this year? Really? One or two every week?

80 plus MPs charged with drink-drive this year, you call that “believable”?

Might be wrong here but I’m pretty certain there were thousands of trees planted along part of the route of HS bloody 2 and They’ve ( most of them) died because nobody watered them so they are going to plant some more.Anybody else heard about this or am I dreaming ? More lorry’s and tractors to plant them again!

Johnson auditioning for a place on Craggy Island. Just about the right size for a man of his abilities to govern.
