If you have a truck sat-nav a tape measure is handy for finding out your vehicle’s length and width. This information is rarely included on the ministry plate I’ve found.I drive rigids
Height is really the important one… The settings on my sat-nav are the same as the ones I found in that one truck that one time, except for height which I do at the start of the day (if I even need the satnav).
I’ll agree to the ability to resist hitting other drivers and add a lunchbox.
You don’t need a tape measure to find the height of your rigid as this information MUST be displayed in-cab. Are you stupid or something?

Surprisingly you won’t always find a height marker plate in a rigid. Would you automatically trust it anyway? Checking the height of the vehicle he’s driving wouldn’t make him stupid in most folks eyes - blindly trusting whoever put the info on the height marker plate is a bit risky (perhaps even “stupid”)
