ERF 'European' (1975)

KFH 250P under tow (you can see the suzie attached to the auxillary air connector under the bumper and you can just see the rigid bar attached to the tow-pack). They didn’t break down very often.

With regard to the ERF that we thought may have been a Comart ERF but have been told that they never operated one,i saw this F88/89 on a french group that looks very similar and possibly the same company. We have to remember these photos are between 40 and 50 years old so whilst the bottom grey/blue paint may look slightly different thats probably just the light/film quality. Its the first time i have seen another truck with the same paint lines at the bottom of the cab.

Unfortunately as always seems to be the case the photo is blurred but i think its a French company, shame we dont have a reg number. I know the person that posted it and will message him but i assume he does not know who the haulier is as he never put anything.

Hello Dean!

The NGC was photographed in Italy by Pasquale Caccavale. The tilt is in MJF colours (Michael John Luff). ‘Saviem’ told me that he thought it had been on French plates and briefly operated by LTL (Luff Transport Ltd), and then (apparently hastily!) sold on to a Belgian operator. It’s No.35 on the register and remains a bit of a mystery.

From commercial motor Sept 20 1974, mentions the European…

That’s proper detective work! It is on here though, back in the mists of time!

Ha ha not really, i was researching something else and the commercial motor “show number” magazines are huge and have lots of information in.

Will keep looking for something new….
