Entering the world of trucking

Semtex:

Nico Chapman:
Are there any well known companies out there that mainly do international transportation? And any well known oversized hauling?

Cheers,
Nico

That will come further down the line. For the time being, when you get your class 1 licence go and have a chat with Conway Bailey at redruth. They are known to be “newbie friendly”

They do some euro as well

That’s great, thanks for the advice.

Nico,

As a teenager in London my best mate was called Danny. His dad, Sam, built him a darkroom at home when he got into photography (1970’s no digital then!).

He got himself a job at a studio in Paddington on the very bottom rung of the ladder and worked hard.

I drive a truck. He doesn’t. Google ‘Dan Mindel cinematographer’

Would I rather be working on Star Trek or delivering blocks of foam to a factory in Blackburn

If things don’t work out on the photography side you can always go down the truck driving route; very much harder to do the reverse.

Best of luck with whatever you do decide to do.
