Eddie Stobart Ducks and Whalers

Load of ■■■■■ tonight; that ■■■■ hopping about like a rabbit ffs…

i havent seen any of the new episode and only one of the first and that was because the banter on here about a ■■■■■■ and a midget, being a stobbie driver i can only imagine how crude the show is, now seriously is it worth wasting my time to watch this one or should i just assume they make themselves look like idiots

sorry men i lasted 20mins, too annoying, i think these drivers and show are cringe worthy and are not a true reflection of the norm, …the last time i seen that mark he was signing autographs so says it all really.

There are some nice lorries on it and you get to write down the names

i watch it for what it is & don’t read anything too much into it like some here , but i’ve done milklink in crediton & you’d be pushing bloody hard on that back road to get a loaded wagon to tiverton in half an hour , why not just stop at crediton ?

does that narrator chap keep saying ARCTIC instead of artic ?

& what about those pranks between mat & mark …windscreen wipers out, door mirrors in

…hours of entertainment …

…top flight comedy

.too funny

whasat nurse ? tablet time ? :unamused:

good to see mark back in it

Was it me or did the state of the art £100,000 gas powered Volvo Fm have a fuel gauge from a 1979 Ford ■■■■■■ for the gas tank ?

Mark, can I recommend you invest in a truck based sat nav rather than that ■■■■■■ TT One??

They’re not perfect, but give you a better chance, and if you come up against a restriction, you just block it off and it’ll never navigate you down there again.

You can also add height, weight and width restrictions and it’ll then not navigate you down an unsuitable road again - if it does the 1st time.

My only complaint is that there’s no ‘timed restriction’ option on the TT Truck, but it’s still pretty new technology yet (oh, and it keeps thinkin’ there’s a 7.5t weight limit on the Dartford Tunnel :unamused: I have to remove it everytime I update my map).

You don’t need to remove the restriction just upgrade the limit to 50 tons and there is other restriction around that area. i just started from 2 junctions before the tunnels upto 2 junctions after the tunnels (northbound of course) and removed a “blocked for all trucks” restriction as well as making the 7 1/2 ton limit 50 tons cos if you remove it then it keeps coming back. i think there is also a 32 ton restriction along that stretch as well so that need altering. after all the the tt needs to reboot to affect the changes. well it works for me anyway.

On the later firmware it goes and stays gone - well, on 1 of the roads, the other still shows a limit, but it doesn’t matter, because they go the same place lol.

jrl driver:
i think that latvian bird has more chance of winning miss world than driving a truck around this country

what was guy the driving the lpg powered truck thinking of,he went past whitwood truck stop on the way to halifax from sherburn, then went back there to fill up with lpg when he was loaded, then went back along M62 to get on M1 to go to bardon, that was a fair bit of gas/diesel/driving time wasted!! :unamused:

The truck was running on lng Liquified natural gas not lpg i think theres a diffrence its methane gas the same as pipeline gas you get in your home but without the stench added to it its turned from a gas and into a liquid form and it stored and around -160

When was the last time any of you suffered ‘brake fade’ in a modern truck with disc brakes all round, abs etc??

When was the last time any of you suffered ‘brake fade’ in a modern truck with disc brakes all round, abs etc??

Last year dropping down the hill into Vigo grossing 44t ,i had to bring it to a halt quickly and go down in a low gear, as i should have been doing as the retarder was not working, luckily no damage to the discs or tyres by overheating.
As for Stobberts on telly, good publicity for the general public to watch, but not for me ,who wants to watch trucks on the telly, loads of bullsh… ,i go home to get away from them.

 i think mark and his his knob friend should have the girls names removed and big thomas the tank faces put on the front they might be taken a bit more seriously then,   and the fruitloop bunnyhopping up the steps would he pass a random drug test  pass that reefer round dude : :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

As I didn’t see the show can anyone tell me if Mark has managed to have his curtains repaired since the last series or are they still unable to be fully opened and therefore obscuring half his side window?

Still broken, his back problem seems to be getting worse as well, if he leans any further forward hes gonna get his head stuck in the steering wheel.

No Mark the knob still has broken curtains, maybe if he got them fixed he would not be so scared of the blackwall tunnel, and brake fade my arse, expect he will be talking about double de cluching next week just another ■■■■ of the north

I was impressed with him even having HEARD of brake fade! Mind you, never suffered it on a level road after dark :unamused:

Did that yard man at Jack Richards - Peter used to work for Irlams sure he was some kind of manager

i will admit im a newbie to trucks so to speak stil waiting on licence application etc i have been watching this programme since the start whilst im sure it doesnt reflect most drivers it still keeps in interested in trucks gives me a form of insight into trucking etc and as we knows it a programme which is rubbish but it has trucks so most will watch it and learn not to follow there example

:grimacing:
