Saw 3 of their DAF’s parked at DAF Frome this week. Also on Friday an ex-mortimers LHD Daf passed me on the M5. It had Ralph Davies on the headboard and was pulling a RD trailer. Maybe they have taken on some of the units. I might of been mistaken but it sure looked like Mike Morrell driving-is he still with Ralph?
Mike is still with Ralph and has one of the two blue DAF’s.
I think if a company is restructuring or looking at their options, then any recent acquisitions may be sold as a common sense measure.
Toby and his father Jon have gone a bit mad lately and put the five new TGX’s on the road, in addition to ten new DAF XF105’s, nine 460’s and one 80 tonne 6x2 510, all with Super Space cabs. They also bought ten new Schmitz fridges and a new Faymonville four axle step frame plant trailer.

I know nothing about them but buying that many new trucks in one go couldn’t have helped.
Wouldn’t help keep the business going!! but if they owned their old trucks & trailers they will have sold them outright bringing in LOTS of cash, then leased all the new trucks & trailers with a months up front rental, then “go pop” with virtually no assets!!! (as they’ve already ‘trousered’ the cash from the sale of the fleet months ago)
NOT THAT I’M SUGGESTING FOR ONE SECOND THAT ANYONE FROM MORTIMERS HAS DONE ANYTHING SO UNDERHANDED!!!

I AGREE YOU CANNOT PURSUE AN INDIVIDUAL FROM A COMPANY…HOWEVER AS MORTIMER AND SONS ( EAT MORE CHIPS ) WAS A PARTNERSHIP AND NOT A LIMITED COMPANY IT IS POSSIBLE TO CLAIM AGAINST THE PARTNERSHIP AND ALSO EACH INDIVIDUAL IN THAT PARTNERSHIP…HAVE DONE SO MYSELF ALREADY THRO THE ACCOUNTANT DEALING WITH THE INSOLVANCY ARRANGEMENTS…CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY WERE NOT LIMITED !!! Daf have got a holding area(? i think theres new and old motors in there) at Bean Road Tipton, i delivered near there 2 weeks ago, and in that yard there were 2 Mortimers left ■■■■■■ XF105 SSC’s. Also a lot of wagon and drags from McCarthy from Wrexham
I saw a Scania pulling a rather battered “eat more chips” trailer on the M25 near leatherhead this morning around 0200. The unit was still liveried as mortimers so I guess some trucks are still running.
It could be in response for xmas reefers, i’ve seen a couple of their trailers in the Heathrow area, although they were being pulled by plain white Scania’s.

Many trailer on the road are leased or still owned by leasing companies!
Apollo, take them for everything they’ve got, I went down the employment tribunal route when Boyes conning went ■■■■ up when the the zb’s that were Tinnellys brought them out, and i have just been awarded 5k, it may take a while to get your money but stick with itcos its money that is rightfully yours!

ive seen the daf ssc right hander pulling there loadloader around for the past month here and there around the bristol/chippenham area ! looked like the same guy driving that was driving it back in the summer !

The scanny and trailer I seen definetly wasn’t plain they both had the Mortimer and chips livery all over them.
