Good luck with that Kev. I know a couple of guys in their 70’s still fit and driving.

Update on my medical, I passed!! wasn’t really as much of a problem as I thought it could be, (easy to say now it’s over). the doc said I have the blood pressure of a thirty year old, I said I wish I had the hairline and libido to match.  regards Kevmac47.

Pleased to here that all was fine   see you on 29th

from the granny grunt

Went to the company doctor for my last HGV medical as they pay and will never do that again. I was looking over her shoulder as she filled it in and just as well I did as she ticked the box that said I had a stroke. She then went on to say that I had some other illness that I had never had, so the form had more corrections on it than right answers. When it got to the bit about blood pressure, you have to give the last 3 readings (as I am on blood pressure tablets) and she left that blank which led the DVLA to investigate with my own doctor so had to get authority to drive letter from them pending the outcome as the licence expired.
The moral of this story is if you even have minor health issues, go to your own doctor for the medical it can save time with the application.
