Droping the machine driver

on muckaway remember droping the machine driver a few bob and the tip man
1 not to over load to much and 2 to get a good spot to tip
if you didn’t ud be overloaded and bog to the ■■■■■■■■ ha ha

Heres me thinking that this was some awkward plant operator you had pulled out of the cab

did this regularly especially when paid by load, one memorable one was on a tunnelling job mid 70s near Blackburn.the workers were mainly irish subbies and the guy signing tickets said will you be interested in giving me a quid for each extra ticket for the ■■■■■■■■,never to miss achance I jumped at it.i must have had about 80 loads extra on the job.when it came to me getting paid off the guy I was carting for he asked me into his office and said I cant pay you on these tickets as m.mouse don’t work at that firm and they wont pay me.so I lost £80 plus the profit on each of the 80 loads. ouch, but lesson well learnt. :open_mouth: :unamused: :frowning:

Onions -driver got loaded by dockers in London, was told they put 20 bags extra on so he paid them the black price. Multi-drop round London & sold the 20 extra. Came to his last drop & was 20 bags short! Called him ‘Onions’ after that.
