Passenger seat - won’t have air assist - will it? 
The main problem of replacing a knackered seat in a 56 plate is that most available 56 plate seat replacements are equally as knackered.
You know that bloke what designs lorry cabs, the one with a 6’ long left arm & 2’ legs with size 2 feet, could somebody please tell him to make the driver & passenger seats interchangeable. I gets fed up battling the back ache of sitting on a 800,000ml, semi collapsed block of wood whilst glancing over at the perfectly unused seat to my left.
I’ve got a driver seat for a 19 plate xf if you can find out if it will fit ?

Ah! True, but would that matter?
That’s no problem in an XF but the lump might be in the way in a low can, you’re right

It’s hard to picture…
But I’m assuming the gear stick will eventually find it’s way onto the air dump button and hey presto, your seat drops down as you approach a roundabout in the rain or similar. 
A question?
Is the seat metal frame broken, or just the cushion / fabric?
Might be possible keep frame and swop over the soft bits? Passenger side would go across then wouldn’t it??
waht about trying the seats out of a renault or volvo , same cab , should be the same seat fixings.

As suggested if it’s just the seat base then it should be possible for a decent mechanic to swap the seat base from the passenger side to the driver’s seat and vice versa
