Had a jumper earlier this year 2am empty road, she broke both legs, yes I did assist as I was the only person around as it was me she tried to jump in front of,told her that she could have timed it better as she jumped to early, she didn’t appreciate my comment but then hey she didn’t care what her actions would have put me through,I saved her from bleeding out never the less and called the services

My mate killed a suicide jumper, this guy timed it perfect! Kept him in the police station for 12 hours for questioning! Kept the truck for 6 months aswell! My mate didn’t drive lorries again for 2 months. Still has nightmares about it.
Selfish ■■■■■■■■ so they are!
Done.
Done, but it seems to assume that a first aider at an accident site will reduce the delays.
A first aider may improve the chances of an accident victim but will not prevent the accident investigation and cleanup that will inevitably follow a serious RTC.

I used to drive a push out, hauling rubbish back & forth to to the landfill. One day I was coming back from the tip & a Nutter was hanging off the wrong side of the fence on a bridge, I was only 5 minutes from the yard & my imagination started working overtime !
What if he jumped as I drove under the bridge & landed in the trailer ?
Was I going to find a Lump of mangled Claret in the back of the trailer ?
Could I loose my job & Liberty over this ?
What was I gonna have for dinner that night if I found him in the back, all messed up (I was planing on egg n chips with loads of KETCHUP !)
Do I just let the 360 grab driver fill the trailer with the next load, then push it out on the tip & hope that the compactor just flattens the corpse with the rest of the waste ?
Luckily enough, when I checked the trailer, it was clear. Phew !
Makes you think though.

Again not sure how a first aider can speed up a road closure being opened quicker…but it could help save a life potentially knowing certain skills.

You ask the parties 2 questions :
- Is anybody injured ? –
- If no persons injured , can the vehicles be moved safely a short distance to a safer location please
. ?
.
.
Every situation is different, but ,
.The replies/non-reply, will denote whether the vehicles and persons can be moved or not.
The unconscious partie/s will not reply obviously.

I passed mine in November 2013. I was parked up on a night out and had to use it for the first time in July 2014, a hit and run on a pedestrian. Made the guy comfortable until Police and Paramedics turned up then was simply brushed aside as just another member of the public. DFA state that we’re recognised as a body but to be honest I think individually coppers/medics want anyone out of the way to do their job. Would I stop/help again■■? Yep, its human nature to help those in distress.
has this finished yet?
