Driver conduct hearings

We can quite easily check online which operators have applied for an o’licence or been in the [zb] with the traffic commissioner.
Is there any way to check if a driver has been up in front of the TC.
Someone i know has had three convictions. (I think i’ve mentioned it on another thread). two mobile phone and one tachograph fraud. Surely he would have been invited to a conduct hearing.
He’ll never admit it, But he needs the smugness wiping off his face.

If i find something on him, I’m not going to land him in the [zb] with his employer, But as he dosn’t use the internet very often, I’ll wind him right up and tell him it’s all over it.

Sounds like dropping him in it is exactly what you’re trying to do. Worry about yourself not others.

No mate. I’m not going to drop him in it with anyone but the lads.
He’s acted very smug and it would just be a laugh to see his face if we catch him out.
There’s no way he’s walked away from this unscathed.
I know i wouldn’t have done.

It’d be interesting to see how many times you’ve been up before the TC. Did you have to when you got released from prison?

What have you done now Limey, one hit from Maroc with a magnet and a full load of herbal grass.

Not yet.
But it’s coming. I can feel it in my water.

No. It was Valencia.

It wasn’t me this time. I’ve had no choice but to keep my nose clean for now.
[zb] me it’s hard work.

Quite a serious question that could concern any of us at any time.
I know there are plenty of whiter than white drivers on this forum, But no one is perfect, We can all ■■■■ up.
Let’s say you get a ticket for speeding, tacho offences, mobile phone. Anything really.
How long does the TC have to act on it?
It may be a warning letter or a conduct hearing.
Most legal things have limits applied. If you don’t get a court date within 6 months of most offences, You’re pretty much in the clear.

tc can go back years as it’s a drivers conduct hearing, when my old workmate was up she was taking up offences he commited 14 years earlier

14 years? That’s just wrong in so many ways.
They should only take offences into account in accordance with the rehabilitation of offenders act.

But what i was getting at is, If a driver gets a ticket and pays the fine for say using a mobile phone, Can she call him in in maybe 2 or 3 years, Or does she have to deal with it within a certain time limit.

There is a time limit, I dont know how long though.

Our lot got dragged in to see Mrs Bell before I started, and the hearing was whilst I was there,
She made a point that 2 of our lot had been caught for driving using phones and said they were lucky as a timeframe had passed and she couldn’t act on it, but if it happens again then its straight away at least 2 week suspension of licence.

i know a bit of time has passed but ive just seen this, Limeyphil wants to wipe the smugness from someones face because of what he thinks he got away with, would it not be better to find out what you want to know yourself rather than having to ask other people, the internet is a big thing, you can find out what you want from it, but to try and run someones face in something from second hand information is pretty sad.

In the yard one day Limeyphil says " oh look guys i know he got a suspension because such and such showed me how to find out about it online,"

how can you feel smug about that, you should feel pretty sad

NO concern of yours all you will do is cause trouble for being NOSEY,you will know if and when he has had his licence revoked he won`t be driving

I don’t know why folks have this obsession as to what others are doing in the workplace. The sensible folks just go to work, do whatever needs to be done to pick up their wages at the end of the week, go home and have a life outside of the workplace.

It is up to Vosa (or whatever they are calling themselves now), DVLA and the police to communicate with other agencies and absolutely zilch to do with other employees.

I wonder if limeyphil told the people he works with that he is a convicted criminal not long out of prison. Bet he didn’t tell his employer.

Depending on the length of sentence, he may not have had to.

Why not?
Most bosses have a dodgy past.
They are fully aware of my past.

I would have thought you would need a crb check to do a meals on wheels round.

Yes i agree with you, except where the bad behaviour or bad practices of someone, or the company itself by short sightedness or poor practices, could mean serious offences when caught having an effect on everyone, including the company, plus the inevitable ‘all tarred with the same brush’ loss of reputation for anyone who works there.

I’m obviously not referring to a telephone offence here.

If you get your license suspended for say two weeks, does she tell your employer!?
