Well at least they leave it in a layby. Patrick and Seamus from a white and red firm decided that the best place to do a trailer swap today was on the hard shoulder of the M20 J8 slip road with one unit parked in lane 1.
These days its more likely to be Patricozski and Sergiusz
I used to work for tuffnells and they are the biggest **** heap two bit company going! Donāt ever work for these clowns. I donāt blame the drivers because they are under a lot of pressure but the management are a bunch of sneaky ********!
They have to leave the drags because their lorries are always breaking down, no joke. Another scam of theirs is for the depot manager to load up a few lorries at the end of the shift with all the consignments that donāt get loaded, that way he can say they left the depot and still get his fat bonus and the poor customers get fed rubbish with no refund even though paid for next day delivery!
The employees, everyone below management that is, get treated like dirt. Once the depot manager got in a huff and chucked a parcel at a 16 kid and told him to stop holding his leg and get on with his work.
Health and safety doesnāt exist, using sliding metal plates to cover the gaps between the bays and the lorries isnāt clever when your carrying a heavy iron gate, or a ships anchor (you herd that right, a ships anchor). You also might be unlucky enough to get carted away on the back of a lorry when they pull away without warning. I drove one of their battered vans which wouldnāt pass a an MOT, the back doors had to be tied together and a dozen warning lights on the dash, was fun thrashing it though.
Ivāe also herd stories of drivers being sent out in, wellā¦āpoor conditionā wag & drags.
And when you park up at work watch your cars, they donāt give a monkeys if they write yours off and will try to worm there way out of it. They also canāt work your pay properly.
I looked online at customer reviews of tuffnells and there all crap, wish iād done that before I started there. And before anyone asks iām not a disgruntled employee (even though iām glad to get out of there), I just want everyone to know what there dealing with when it comes to tuffnells. Happy ex tuffnells employee

Years ago I heard a rumour that the Leighton Buzzard depot would have Purges every couple of years, sacking a lot of the workforce because of all the Pilfering & to keep every one on their toes. That would fit in with what your saying about the management, no one is going to be happy working in those conditions, with the threat of dismissal every couple of years, wether your honest or not.
I canāt speak for the LBZ depot but I wouldnāt put it past them. As for pilfering every one was stealing from our depo, what ever could fit in your pocket or under your top. Another past time was to punch holes and kick boxes. Apparently at our depo managers old job someone took a dump on his desk.

Down just a bit more and then I can take the weight on me shoulders ā¦
Lay-bys are for having a break in, not for some uppity transport company to use as extra yard space. Iād have no qualms about blocking a trailer in if I needed a break and it was the only place to park.

If youāve got a coupling and the time hitch up to one and move it down to the next layby or round the roundabout and drop it in a layby on the opposite side then go back to original layby and sit and wait. Itās hilarious!

If it has a tracker and you get arrested for theft Iām sure the police will see the funny side.
