I’ve seen a guy, twice now, drives a 2 door Merc coupe and he hangs about places like Tothill or Winchester MSA initially asking for directions to such and such a place then smoothly moves onto these leftover promotional genuine Mercedes watches that he has.
They do look the ■■■■■■■■ but for a tenner?..Sounds like the same bloke who tried it with me about six or seven years ago. At a Marks and Sparks services near Basingstoke/Micheldever.

Yup, thats exactly the same bloke, well dressed, same spiel, watches on the seat etc etc.
What a small world. Did he actually quote you a price? I never got past the ‘drink’ point.
If I was the vengeful type I might advise Mercedes UK that one of their ’ sales directors’ was selling their promotional products on the side. 
. And also abusing potential future customers who refuse his stolen merchandise. 
If of course that is what he is/was, which I doubt.
But I must admit he did look and sound the part.
