Blimey that tractor unit is as long as my 26t rigid [emoji33]

It’s got a 20ft wheelbase, so yeah it’s about the same as a 6wheeler rigid, got a 53ft overhang though, so a little bit less maneuverable.

Nice motor, they’ve certainly come on leaps and bounds in the past few years, the 6wheeler rigid was usually a 4wheeler with an extra axle, underpowered and with a small cab.
Saying that, the only 6wheeler rigid I ever drove was a Scania 143-420 topline, although I did pull an A frame drawbar trailer behind it and as it was for an Italian company, both halves were loaded to at least 26tons most of the time!

My truck is a TGS and is a extended artic chassis and not a 18t chassis with a tag
Also at the back on the chassis there’s all the air line and electric connections for a drag trailer
Plus the turning circle is a lot better than a 18t
Only bad point 12 spd arsetronic box

A mate of mine had a TGA 410 XL (the flat top wide cab) converted to a 6x2 rigid, this was approx 10yrs ago, before I legged it to Canada. It was a flying machine and the driver loved it, which was no surprise as he had an IVECO Cargo 18tonner previously.

Yep when empty once you’ve pulled away and the gear box gets going I can catch cars out with the acceleration as she’s got a good turbo as well
