I describe it as “distinctive” It has been shunting around Immingham for a few years now. I will pass on your kind words to the driver though it did take some sign language to get permission for a photo,so translating “minger motor” may be a challenge

Grimsby.

Here’s me

when I first got it. I had cleaned the bottom half…lol
its not much cleaner now though

Yes Harry, I was the same. Sod stopping on after work to wash the thing, plus there were certain lads who hogged the washbay daily so no chance of getting on it unless you finished at lunchtime! :unamused: We did get paid an hour a week for washing, you had to sign a book to prove it, my name appearance in the book was conspicuous by its absence!

hiya,

I went to a yard one Sunday morning to get something from the cab of a brand new
Borderer that I’d only had for a week noticed the Guvnor with his Jaguar on one
side and my motor on’t tother both covered in soap suds, well me being the
gentleman that I am and living quite near the yard and not wanting to spoil his fun
I buggered off and decided to return later only to find the lazy sod hadn’t vacuumed
the ■■■ ash off the drivers side floor, I wasn’t happy but didn’t give him a telling off
although I was tempted to, well the old saying of if a job is worth doing it’s worth
doing well, and I did notice although the motor was sparkling clean it didn’t go any
better than it did on the Saturday when I last drove it so he’d wasted his time.
thanks harry, long retired.
