The way different firms are dealing with this is interesting to watch as well… Can anyone shed any light on the rumour that DHL are diverting their work outside the firm because they’ll not let their drivers out on the road without a valid tacho? What about other large fleet operators like Nobbys, Royal Mail, or even Stobarts? :exclamation: How are THEY dealing with all this at an official level? :open_mouth:

Did agency at Stobart Teesport, last week , told to do printouts

oh forgot to mention…the management said I had to have no card in and set the printer to vehicle data

Not sure why no card in?

When mine was faulty, I still inserted and ejected it as normal, but did a vehicle printout at start and end of shift.
By inserting and ejecting it as normal, it reset all my times on the tacho and truck displays, so I could see my driving time and rest times etc…

They were talking about this subject on radio 4 yesterday " you and yours". Painful listening as always when the general public talk about tachograph laws. But it was the mealy mouthed muppet from the fta describing the tachograph as a safety device :unamused: that was truly sickening. :smiling_imp: If only the transport industry in this country had the sort of backbone that the transport industry has in the usa.
