Digi Card - end of shift

Must admit, I usually switch it to rest / break / chair-icon-thingy when ejecting just incase it does something stupid, but on the occasions I’ve forgotten it seems to have assumed I was resting and not complained. I do also tend to drive the older trucks however so maybe thats why.

Tacho’s are funny beasts and can do daft stuff like switching to other work when you turn on the ignition (WTH!?) or counting POA as break, so maybe it’s best to treat them with caution and stick to the OP’s method.

You don’t need to have the tacho set to break before you eject your card.

I have been ejecting it left on other work for 3 years and never had a daily rest infringement. And that’s without doing any manual entries.

You’ve not done a manual entry for 3 years?

I’m the same as eb. Don’t think I’ve ever done a manual entry in the 10 years I’ve been using digis

the only times in my life ive ever done manual entries is to lie about tipping off the card…never starting or leaving a shift…

The one and only time I’ve done a manual entry I must have c0cked it up as after 2hr 35m drive the tacho started flashing up break. Ignored it because that’s what road rebels do and carried on my merry way.

Never done one since, nor intend to.
