Maybe if the so called professional drivers eased off the limiter for a while instead of driving up everyone’s arses it would all be s lot easier. Retards

Well arkin. Try the m6 this week. Or m55. Take ya pick.
Was sat on limiter. Nothing behind me for a good 1/4mile. Artic 200 yards infront. And a scummy mummy cuts infront of me. And goes down slip rd.
The fact that I was nicely level with the start of the off slip as she cut across doesn’t come into it.
The retards are those who cannot safely plan to exit a motorway. And seem to think a truck can stop as quick as a car.

Explain the idiots that leap in front of you to get off at that exit instead of sitting behind you?

Explain the idiots that drive nose to tail past junctions not leaving any room for other road users to plan ahead and slip in between to exit. Do other road users really have to get in the nearside lane three miles before their exit behind a cue of slow moving vehicles. Or do you think it’s too much to expect people to leave a nice gap.

You can plan ahead and move into the nearside lane long before your exit comes up. That would stop you slicing across my front!

yeh that’s right they’ll all just have to sit there in the nearside lane miles before their exit. Clogging the nearside lane up, that’s a great idea.

You are informed by signage that an exit to coming up, you then move into the correct lane you need for the exit if you do need that exit… its basic highway code stuff this…

I think arkin has a point here, well its in there somewhere…

As pro steering wheel attendants we know whats going to happen, expect it to happen so should leave a safe gap at the approach to junctions to allow a car etc who has left it to late. Now the trick is to leave enough gap but maintain speed so to a car it looks doable but not to the extreme where 10 cars can go for it bearing in mind there maybe vehicles who have exited correctly behind us and could be hit by someone leaving it to late.

We also have to look up the slip road to be ready if a car leaves it far to late and is then greated with standing traffic.

In the end car and non pro vehicles should be treated as children and assisted to preserve their life expectancy even if they feel so coccooned that they have no regard for their own safety.

We have a duty to make the roads a safer place even if some of our comrades cant and if it goes wrong we will be the first to be blamed.

Anyway back in the real world…

Keep left unless overtaking and a safe gap between you and the vehicle in front anyone?

Just a thought!

Ask your self this:
IF you slipped into the queue of traffic to exit at a junction, either 3 miles, or 300 metres ahead of your exit while travelling 50-60mph, how much sooner would you arrive at your destination ■■

if you are going 0.5 mph faster than the vehicle in front and you go for the overtake, then have a snail race for a few miles…how much sooner will you get to your destination. That is another story/thread/rant though I suppose.

If you fail you have to re take.[emoji3]

Snail racing or last second exit shennanigans theres definately an illusion of getting to your destination quicker albeit one is silly and embarrasing and the other is suicidal, in some cases it works out correct even if by a minute or two, but stepping back for a second and realising its all about the journey and every second of that journey should be as relaxed as posible helps me.

I make misstakes, ■■■■ other road users off for a living, it may not be intentional but its surprising what a simple apologetic wave can doto diffuse a situation.

We are all in this together and its up to the pro driver (if there is such a thing) to remove danger by being aware of what is about to happen and do all he / she can to reduce risk. After all its why we are paid the big bucks. The flipside is more danger can be created by being too cautious, finding a balance is the holy grail and the road to true enlightenment. (WTF am I on about).

One things for sure there wont be any dashcam footage of my best bits, moments of perfection in an imperfect world is the best I can hope for.

If that’s the case you could replace all that twaddle with one sentence…
“This driver failed 2 driving tests, best keep out his way”

Its not really another story/thread/rant, but it does bring into perspective that dashing around and not going with the flow won`t get you to your destination more than a few seconds earlier.
It will also raise your stress & anxiety levels, increase wear & tear and fuel consumption on your vehicle. So relax, enjoy the drive, plan your manoeuvres ahead, and expect the unexpected
