Dealing with feral kids

Conor:

There are no feral kids in the UK.
The term is propaganda in a most cruel, insidious form.

No it isn’t and denying they exist is just political correct [zb].

There are feral kids in this country, there always have been to some extent however the rise in single parents seems to have coincided with a rise in the number of them. Sure they’ve not been brought up by animals so not feral in the dictionary definition sense but they may as well have been for how they behave. I can only guess you don’t live in an area where there are any or deliver to where there are but if you watch some of those TV shows like Traffic Cops there’s plenty of examples when they go on council estates of kids acting just like that, completely out of control thinking they’re a law unto themselves. There’s an entire area of Grimsby riddled with them, East Marsh Estate.

I seem to recall a lorry driver was murdered in a Grimsby retail park car park when he was sleeping and some kids stacked up pallets and trapped him inside while the pallets were set alight

I did one time come across a bunch of lads graffittiing the side of a house. I grabbed his can and sprayed all of them with their own paint, then walked off.
I thought that they would know how it felt to have their prized clothing (which I believe they take pride in) covered in paint. Also, let them try and explain that to their parents.
Small win.

I had some early teens street urchins try and beg me for some money once, (around the time of the credit crunch) and I told them to get a f’in job.
They then thrust up a mobile phone in the air (the old nokkia type) and they said they’d call the police for “me abusing them” if I didn’t give them everything in my pockets.

I said “That phone don’t work, it’s broken!” - at which point it got thrown at me, and they run off…

Thus, I actually made a profit from the encounter, as nokkias are worth a few quid for “recyling” . ! :grimacing:

Surely you must remember: " look after your lorry mister?"
