My worst was Bellshill to Warrington empty. Get to Warrington no load so back to Bellshill empty
I’ve run Appledorn, NL to Como Italy and Paris to Como. although now on UK work we always run back M/T (own account)

We don’t do much back loading.
Better off getting back to the yard,and getting one of our customers loads on the back.
If the mileage isnt too great this can sometimes be the best way and companies with regular contracts wont always want to be hanging around for a truck to return while having groupage from a clearing house delivered which could only be a few pallets and dotted all over the place.It can pay the fuel bill though or at least some of it, depends on timescales…
Personally with 2K km return i need to be fully freighted both ways.
I can understand that…with those kinds of distance.
