Another memory jerker or Mary Hopkin’s moment, I have flown under this bridge a few times in my career but not in an aeroplane, mind you in a 142 if it had wings we might have left the ground a tad with a light load on the back, actually got up there one Sunday and took a picture of Cluey in a 143 below heading North, Buzzer

Nice to see the bridge again. The Winchester bypass was tight if you were overtaking another truck in places.
Saw this new John Deere Forester the other week in Wareham forest.
Saturday in Sedgemoor market and the cattle still on a high, Buzzer

Interesting Dean, I saw this one in the forest near me (Germany) - from the Finnish company Ponsse. I saw them at work a couple of times - amazing how proficient they are at cutting down trees.
More information: Home - Ponsse

Dean the driver has a permanent smile on his fizzogg and its doing 11.5 mpg and it is not run in yet so looking good, years ago when the Scania salesman came in I used to say why are your trucks K10 more than the like for like make and they always said you gain it back on fuel economy but things have levelled up a bit nowadays. We are patiently waiting for the others to come but we cannot get a straight answer from Scania no matter how hard the boys push them, Buzzer

View from the front… They had both been to Woolworths before shipping out to stock up on the Pic n’ mix as oldies do…

That sounds very impressive fuel figures Buzzer. I assume that’s a mixture of weights and not all at 44 tons ? I know your
pharmaceutical loads are light. If its all at 44 tons then i would say thats awesome figures and like you say once run in will only
get better.

Cant knock that Harry considering its new, very impressive. You realise how far in terms of economy these trucks have come on
from the trucks of the 70s/80s when you were getting between 6-8 mpg with most motor’s.
