Davies Int. Southampton. With photos (Part 1)

Lucky you having access to wood Gazzer , I have to buy ours by the wheelbarrow full from the garden center on the main road opposite the Renault dealer with all the Pegasso, s lining his fence.

Gazzer thought you would have picked up on Fergie’s idea there when Mappo visited him, you offer someone an acquaintance is best a free holiday and lay it on a bit thick what a wonderful break in the sun they could have then when they arrive you drop it on them that they have to help out around the place. You know loads of ex drivers so instead of struggling on your own you could have had it easy street, Buzzer.

PS. Here below is an ideal candidate looking for a break in the sun, don’t he look young in that shot.

As you say Buzzer, a very young looking Richard Green…one of lifes true gentlemen…

Funny you should mention a trip to the sun, aye Gazzer…watch this space…

Looking at the previous pic you put on Buzzer, that guy just out of shot, going by the specs
that can just be made out, and that hooter, it looks a bit like me…

Like you Buzzer and Scattercash, I’m generous to a fault. Mi casa, tu casa! Always open door for visitors. People get used to being asked to muck in if they visit! My son recently came over for Xmas…when I took him back to the airport he actually said " makes a change to come over and not do any work"! My Dad comes over expecting to do something…March, with me on the parrafin parrot…wiring up my pagoda flood lights and 240v sockets…well he is a sparky!

Seriously, we have accommodation in the boongalow and a double bed in the big caravan. Real Spain in the middle of nowhere but not far from somewhere.

PS: I have solar panels to move, more wood to get in, wood to saw up, concreting to do, floor tiling, an extension to the bathroom and shed relocation to name but a few jobs!

kerbut: I know where you mean. I sell some of mine to a local rental house for 15€ a barrow delivered. I think it’s 12 if you collect it yourself isn’t it?

I pay 10 there ,but normally buy on a Saturday when they have the market there.

Taken in the kitchen of our old house, Buzzer.

Cracking drawings Blakey, you,re very talented mate…

Back to a bit of farming, our latest acquisition…so now we can bag animal feed out of the rain…!

Cheers Wrighty.

Wrighty you must have had the long range weather forecast from Baldrick in Ireland too have laid out dosh on that bit of kit, my question is why have bulk and then bag it. Today bulk is cheaper to buy I know but I don’t use that quantity and I cant understand why they don’t do dumpy bags then there sales would surely grow, me still plugging away with the fodder beet but they look good on it and its cheaper than concentrate, may get another 20 ton’s as the first lot is shrinking fast, cheers Buzzer.

Evening Buzzer

We were getting dumpy bags of barley and sugar beet, but it was taking time going every other week with a trailer to pick it up. It is a split bin which will hold 5t of barley and 5t of sugar beet, so not only is it cheaper in bulk but also does away with damage from rats and birds.
So hopefully there will be some payback with less waste and easier bagging, so were prepared for Baldricks next onslaught of weather be it more rain or snow…!

Cheers Wrighty.

Line up at the old yard in Andersons Road via face book, including the F88, Buzzer.

Me with roly in place and "Jim’ll tip it"most will remember him as he used to do the UK bit no one liked doing, Buzzer.

Ah… Jim’ll tip it.
Always a pleasure to get off the boat and handover a full shoot of fruit for him to tip in the markets
Nice fella as well.

Nice bit of kit Wrightys got… Silo Silver Lining.

Was that Jeff Beck who did that Balders, very sharp today considering all that rain you’ve had thought you would have got rusty JD.

Got it in one John.
I have a friend in sud de france…an ex groupie and married to another guitarist of note who could tell you a few stories about him too…

Anyway, back to farming and all things agricultural… Look away now all those non believers.

Didn’t you have a few long haired cattle at one time JD? The Highland type doodahs?

No Balders but I did have some Longhorns which there name explains it all, a semi rare breed like myself. Needed to be careful handling them or you could definitely get spiked and awkward to transport, need to shut all the lower vents or you could have a hornless model, they are a slow maturing beef with fat marbling which slow cooked is delish.
Think I should write a book on transport and food as they always seem to be of a kind, cheers JD.

By eck Buzzer tha’s mekin mi mouth watter, can’t beat a reet good Sunday roast wi Yorkshire puddings an all’t trimmings…

Cheers Wrighty.
