Pierre:
V66 drunk driver fell asleep with his lights on

Pierre considering this is your first entry on TNUK I don’t think you should post that the driver was drunk, maybe he has a medical problem and needs help. You have made an accusation, do you have any proof before you made your statement. At this stage I think that we will wait and see the outcome and feel sure the truth will emerge in due course, Buzzer.

PS. scaniavabis-530 at least you had the sense to try and investigate the situation and we thank you for that.

His left ignition on,got them daft running lights on unit that keep side lights on,i’ve done it myself forgot to switch ignition off after putting window up

Bloody hell buzzer, some firms have in the past have paid a fortune for tracking like this. Sad how some people get satisfaction from others misfortune but I don’t suppose it was a drama for a professional driver such as the man given that scania to drive, but that’s probably where lies the problem

Light shirt and light trousers, we have it now, asleep, oh waiting on customs, so inspecting inside his eyes for tomorrows long run, all sorted no probs… A proper professional English driver.

An Apology To Davies international.
On Saturday night my account was used to post a picture & a quote. I would like to take this opportunity to say I had absolutely nothing to do with the posting or the quote. I have been a member for a few years now and have never posted anything, due to the fact I don’t really know how to. ( I asked a friend to delete it because I didn’t know how). I just read and enjoy all the old photos. I have been in this job for over 35 years now & know right from wrong, and this was totally unacceptable.
So please accept this apology on behalf of the myself & the inconsiderate mindless individual who sent the post.

Well said young man. In view of the facts I am sure Buzzer accepts the apology.Of course its nothing to do with me so disregard this message. Regards Charlie

Well Charlie hope you and the missus are coping as im’e sure it is worrying times at the moment, thanks for your confidence in Davies International a firm of good repute now I have retired and have nothing to do with the day to day running. The driver returned yesterday and as suspected nothing untoward seemed to have happened so the least said about that the better.
On another note had some grass cut today for haylage as its turned nice and warm for a few days, winter feed for the cattle on the ranch you understand. By the way if you ever get them heavy duty batteries fitted on your gokart Charlie there are a couple of packs of special edition sausages waiting in my freezer for collection, cheers Buzzer.

Hi Jimmer hope you are planning the “coach trip” for next years reunion, Richard Green has the coach any thing from 16 seater up and horry can look after the ferry booking, bet he could get that for nought if they knew what the accumulative crossings of the passengers was in the past. You better be taking down possible overnight stops and if any of the old watering holes are still operational, Have a nice time and better be taking plenty of pics just to jog all our old tired brains, look forward to the results, Buzzer.

Buzzer. Thanks for your good wishes. Good job I’m a tough old trucker( Not sure about the spelling ) Been on eBay and found some heavy duty batteries. Only problem is they are in Milano and need to be collected.Jimski where are you.Might be a bit heavy as they are forklift batteries and weigh over a ton. Re the impending old boys coach outing can I book a window seat. Will it have a loo? Never mind if it don’t we can wear our. incontinence pants.I vote we stop at the Footballers cause we all liked the rognons.About your special sausages I will walk down.Setting off now. Should make it by Christmas.Regards Charlie

I think Jimmer,s gonna call into Italmondos to try and get a bit of
groupage in his boot and roof rack.( I think ‘fingers’ on Cenis has cleaned him out ) :unamused: :unamused:

Charlie…hope the missus is as well as can be expected mate.
As for the sausages, you,ve got no chance Charlie.
I only live a couple of miles from Buzzer, so if I start walking now
I should be there by November… :unamused: :unamused:

Buzzer…re this coach of Richards, has he got one of those with hospital
beds in and nurses like the one that used to go to Lourdes.■■?
If so, I,ll buy my ticket now…

Mappo why do you need a nurse, the picture you put on here last week of your Mrs is better looking than any nurse ive ever seen. By the way Charlie’s bin and collected the sausage offer, he was quick mind and you bin pipped at the post again, story of your life eh ! Buzzer.

PS. was that Lourdes Hill Tone.

Now this is a blast from the past especially for the culprits that drove these trucks at the time, Buzzer.

I’ve read dozens of posts from your guys, John, Past and Present. Did you only employ shorts and sandal wearing loons who struck poses like that?
They certainly knew how to look after a lorry. I suspect you raided the set of Tenko to get the uniforms then brain washed them to the “Davies Way”.
All tongue in cheek naturally. Jim.

This bloke was the start of all this fashion statement lark, the problem is he is still at it and he is near retiring age which is pretty sad when you think about it, never mind Tone you were the leader and others followed Buzzer.

Now THAT is a classic line up!! All that’s missing is a DAF 3300 / 3600 Spacecab and you would have the full set of the best trucks ever (IMHO!! )

Talking of photos, I think we are due some more from your company photographer…last seen heading off to Greece wasn’t it?
