Hi DD2 they came from the IOW and the vendor and his son had 90 head in Frome for sale and I have to say they were all stonkers, I could not afford the steers which I would have preferred. They are all around 10 to 12 months old and were single suckled and out of beef SIM X cows, I will keep them through the summer and see what the trade is like so may sell on then or get them inside and sell in the spring as I don’t finish cattle right out Buzzer.
Looks like you gonna need a cowboy about the ranch Buzzer, may I suggest Mappo ! I could see him on a hosse with a Stetson ! And I’m sure he could round em up ok !
R Jimmer
I don’t think that Mappo can get his leg over a horse now.( Let’s not go down that road ) How do you feel about that Tony? Regards Charlie
Jimmer…I may have worked for a few cowboy outfits in my time, but that
don’t mean I wear a stetson…well not every day.
Oh and I don’t like cows.
Charlie…I may have had my leg over a few old dogs when I was younger,
but never a horse.
Don’t like them either.
I herd (heard) you worked for Brown & Harrison with a hoss and cart Mappo. It’s like riding a bike, you never forget…on you go…
Now now Gazzer, don’t you bloody start as well.
Always thought I could rely on you for a bit of support.
Anyway had a bit of a bad day today, and ended up here.
Sorry you arn`t well Tony.Is it the old trouble flared up again ? Strong antibiotics can sometimes shift it! Regards Charlie

This I found on the old inter web, Rowland Ward paid compliments about our new scania’s when he saw one on his patch and now I have to return that sentiment as I know a few blokes who would take this to work today. Understand that you have a new project on the go Rowland, would be nice to see some progress pictures, Buzzer.
thanks buzzer for the compliment yes I got a f89 on the go it will be like new when done also transcon and 1973 40 foot tandem spread axle tilt but it takes lots of money and stress so it will be agood while yet and yes I do think you have one of the bestl looking fleets in Britain super swedes look fab regards rowly
Here’s another tidy but plain 141, Buzzer.

Mornin JD hope all well down on the farm. All that stuff above reminds me of old Rambling Sid Rumpold from " round the Horne " and his Cordwangler m’dears…
Also there’ll be a few on here who remember loading at Funtley back in the day…I did my first load of hanging meat out of there…can’t remember who for now, but got it on and was a bit non plusssed at not being able to shut the doors. A good old Wiltshire boy told me to drive up the yard " a bit sharpish nipper" and get heavy on the brakes… Job done and another lesson learned…
Bon Jouey Balders hope all is well in the south of Francee, aint done nothing in the garden yet as still cold at nights. ASR did a lot of lambs out of Funtley, I know DOS rip used to load Fridays and ship to Swiss quite regular for them as I expect did others, got a feeling Gazzer did the job as well.
Don’t know if you ever look at the Saviem thread on here but some interesting conversation goes on there, you ought to be taking note as Saviem is going to be your next president if we get our way and there may be a governmental post for you within if we are successful, maybe in rural affairs and spying being as you are based there, the pay aint great but money isn’t every thing as Frank Allen ought to say to me. Fergie is the Northern member working in Brittany so having some one in the South would be good.
On another note when you are on them posh yotts do you have to speak ladi da or do you just carry on in your normal vernacular, just wondered. Any way got to do the veg for Sunday dinner now, aurevoir Buzzer.
Now this would be nice to own, just a bit different Buzzer.
