Good to see she wonât get too lonely sat there. Not that it will take long for some decent fella to take a shine to her. Fair play to all concerned - looking very pretty for 660k kms, doesnât happen very often ⌠A credit to one and all.
Andrew I think you can have the camera job on trial for the first 6 months and we will see how you go, just got a sneaky feeling your fans will get more now you are getting a new Skoda, hope you got a Brownie for Christmas and not a chocolate one, I sit back in anticipation Buzzer.
Andrew Morrison:
this man was seen lurking among the trucks in Tracey Island names on a postcard please!!0
Hi Andrew,
Please do not let this man anywhere your new Skoda, you must make sure he never touches the electrics, he is of course that well known pyromaniac known to all his followers as F. A. T.
Thank you for all the pics you have posted this year, keep them coming ! If ever you want to get into photographing models
Jimski has some beauties with great bodies
Best of luck with the new motor the old one is a credit to you, have a good 2014
Regards
Richard
If you are the OFFICIAL fleet photographer Andrew then you should be supplied with OFFICIAL company photographic equipment! A days course on how to operate it to the satisfaction of the Company (image is everything). One day course on Photoshop manipulation (removing undersireables from the shot etc). Half day Health and Safety course so you donât put yourself in jeopardy taking the âperfectâ shot for the Tracey Island 2015 calendar (on sale at the August 2014 bash, ÂŁ5 each, ÂŁ4.99 to charity). Half day location shoot to get used to the new supplied equipment. Ship out Wednesday nightâŚPS If itâs AA battery powered, a stack of company issued Duracells!
Have a great New Year and enjoy your SKODA!
See you soon no doubt!
HI Gazzer I have looked at your last post about the calendar and I cant see that happening as the margin of one penny I donât see as fair, perhaps you got it round the wrong way and I should have ÂŁ4.99 and give one penny to charity. cheers Buzzer.
Andrew Morrison:
Slight problem round Bordeaux had to pay 45 euroâs for these pictures![]()

You sat on the blokeâs bike AND got him to take the photo? Blimey, wish all the CRS officers were that understanding (even accounting for the 45 euro tip, theyâre not often so accommodating)!

I saw one of your old Volvoâs on flickr and its already been registered in Lithuania!
Still looks very tidy.

I agree with you Gazzer official company photographic equipment would be much appreciated(times have moved on from box brownieâs John) could incorperate the photo training with the Scania training day, best of both worlds eh?Iâve got hard hat,toe tectors& high viz so shouldnât need the elf & safety course but just to be sure i could leave the Tracey Islands shots to JD.
As for the calender i would hope to be on commision so looks like the charity will be missing out or John could take a reduction?(yeah right we can see that happening) & it should be a full day on location so long as its somewhere exotic/hot nr the beach would be good & maybe a few in the snow
wouldnât need the batteries new Skodaâs got inverters
hope you enjoyed your Christmas on the beach?
Happy New Year
regards Andrew
You got it sussed Andrew.
No beach this year on the 25th, 12deg and thrashing it down with rain and blowing a hooly! Only one day tho, back to the t-shirt and shorts again now.
Ciao.
Went to the yard today to fill up me pickup and took this shot while there, sorry Ringrose only three in park mode so missed the boat there but sure Andrew will do better when he gets going, cheers Buzzer.
All the older Scanias in this thread have been 142/143s (and very nice with the twin eminox) how come with the change to scania now you never went for V8s?.

All the older Scanias in this thread have been 142/143s (and very nice with the twin eminox) how come with the change to scania now you never went for V8s?.
Hi âNB12â In answer to your question about V8âs yes it is true in the past we ran some of these but the fuel 20 + years ago was far cheaper and the most powerful V8 we ran was 450 and these latest additions have 480âs so are more powerfull. I donât know if you have experienced driving a 480 straight six Scania but they are pretty awesome it has to be said, Another factor to considered is the cost of buying the V8âs over the oneâs we have gone for especially when buying fifteen. We still do mainly international movements which involves a lot of straight line work on good roads and these 480âs are well on top of that sort of work even at 44 tons.
In the old days Scaniaâs were nearly always 10k more expensive than any other like for like truck, always sold on supposed better fuel economy and residual values, having said that they were very reliable. Today prices of the top mark trucks are a lot closer than in the past and service levels from the dealer is also important. Our dealer for Scania is on the other side of the Industrial estate that we operate from so this is very convenient especially as a driver can walk back to our yard in five minutes. As for the fitting of Eminox systems this is expensive in todays world for no real benefit it also dirtys the white fridge trailers which is no good image wise, bin there done that and got over it.
Just to answer why change back to Scania, our Volvo dealer now is full of apathy and they donât stock many replacement parts and this costâs the user down time which means loss of earnings which is a no no, and at the end of the day we donât think they give a monkeyâs f-ck, hope this enlightens you to our thinking, cheers Buzzer.
