Is this serious? This can’t be serious can it? It looks like something a child would do with photoshop. Sorry but it does.

That’s exactly how the design was born, and you found us out so quick well done that man, cheers Buzzer.
Yeah i see what Badger and Jimski are saying about the front, it needs something, maybe the optional “chrome” SCANIA badge would make it stand out a bit more OR paint the SCANIA badge “Buzzer Blue”
Sorry buzzer but I gota say this, it’s the typifies the Davies attitude always looking backwards, it’s always about how it was there and what you used to do
well I think they look fantastic regards rowland
I personally prefer the Volvos and the liverys, these seem a bit similar to Maritime from the front for my liking.
I’m sure they will look good when out on the road though

Given these comments I assume you have had some 1st hand experience with the company. The purpose of the thread in the main is for many people connected with the company past and present to enjoy happy memories, stories and experiences. As for always looking backwards, well I suppose there is a lot to look at after over 40 years of continual trading and I do not just think, but I know buzzer has earned the right to be involved regarding the company he founded. So don’t be shy, make yourself known!!!

Well said Horry.I don,t very often comment on other peoples postings but on this occasion I feel the need to do so.Bit out of order "Fingersdaily " Tell me to mind my own business if you will.I may not always agree with everything that is said on here but
to me nostalgia is a thing of the past ! Regards Charlie
Well I called into scanias this morning to pick a bulb up and had a good look around yours. I think they look spot on very simple livery a little different to the volvos but just as nice all the same. Sometimes less is more and with the chassis and tanks painted they just look really simple and smart just like the volvos. They’ll look even better with the trailers attached and by the way the volvos have been looked after they’ll still look great in 10 years time.
id be looking back and be bloody proud of wat you achieved over 40 years weather Volvo or scania they look first class and I still think the88 is the best but with fingerdaily does jealousy come to mind good luck regards rowland
Hi all personally I like looking back that’s what I come on these threads for as I’ve been out the game for a long while ! And I guess that’s what most of us are doing on these threads ain’t it fingers!! And it’s great to see what people have achieved ! and when them new Scanias are GELing down the road with the frigo’s on their gonna look the muts …
Regards Jimmer
John & Horry
There is always some numpty who’s jealous & justs like stirring it up, like the old days on cb some nights you just couldn’t listen to the crxp anymore.
Your has always been smart & tidy fleet keep it going,
ps But the Scania name does need to be blue lol
Jeremy
Will look totally different with a number plate on ! And a touch of the Davies magic polish !
We all have different tastes but to say your going “backwards” was way out of line ! I’ve got no time for fools and here’s betting this bloke probably runs round on a push bike sat on bridges wishing he could drive one ! Then gets down the local boozer saying he’s done some miles this week !
My personal opinion is there not a patch on the 3 series and I had a topline on PMP but I would like to see the XF 105 instead but that’s my opinion
Will look out for the scanny’s on my night time operations !
Cheers Ian
And looking at his other posts hes only lasted 6 months at Richard reeds !
I think there’s a bit of green eyed monster !
Fingers joined the forum in Oct 2010…hes managed to post 8 times in 3 years (impressive) but it looks like he manages to wind people up every time.
I would personally just ignore the ramblings of a nobody. ( my wife manages quite well )
or Davies International could just send him this message:
Colin
Have to say that judging by the comments in the last couple of days most of you realize when a tw4t makes comments on this forum which title is " OLD TIME LORRIES COMPANIES AND DRIVERS " interactive, which constitutes looking back over the years gone bye and what we all got up to and of course what we are doing today as well. As for Mr Fingers he still has not manned up and showed us what wonderful bit of kit he drives and what wonderful firm he works for or what bike he rides as the case may be, as the last post states 8 contributions in 3 years is hardly earth shattering and probably the amount of jobs he has had in that time. All in all I think enough time has been wasted talking about this individual and he is best left in his own sad little world, unfortunately he is not alone and there are others like him else where on these forums, no one minds constructive criticism and if you have an open mind one can accept that but when you are dealing with the likes of Mr Fingers its best to ignore them and hope they go away, cheers Buzzer.
Hi John & Horry,
I think that “fingers” bloke is the one who used to take my 10,000 lira every time I went over the Cenis,he was always “looking forward” to my arrival
I look forward to seeing them on the road, and if you do have a problem with the badges,I’ve still got a few Magirus Deutz ones I could let you have to put on if you like
Just got in from a one hit Hannover, never saw a customs person first or last ! not like the old days eh !
Good luck from Angie and I with the new trucks.
Regards
Richard
Hi Rich ! Hannover one hit!! Blimey your still at it then !!
I bet your glad your doing it in that Merc rather than a Maggie !!!
Regards Jim
