Dangerous truck driver slams on (extended vids added)

Looks like the 358 by the motohomes garage towards m5 ?

alphonsohall:
Pretty poor driving by any standards, let alone he is an ADR driver, I would send his employer a copy of the video.

+1 and no compulsion

I love drivers that are desperate to get to the next red light before you. Makes the job worthwhile. This high level of driving happens so often Im surprised its even on here.

that’s the one Dan its 40 all the way from the roundabout to that point so its a 40 limit

Good job the scouts aint camping at the scouts camp site down the road ( Think of the children   ).

. double post

Well I for one would definitely be making sure his employers got a copy and almost sertainly the police as well. Drivers like that are what gives the rest of us a bad name and they deserve to lose their lisence. Good on you for your quick reactions and also for finding enough restraint to not drag him from his cab and give him a slap, would have been no more than he deserved after endangering your life like that.

I don’t normally condone reporting people for stuff, we all make mistakes, but this was not only dangerous and stupid but he clearly has the wrong mentality for the work he’s doing.

I’d like to see what’s happened before the video, he states towards the end that you kept speeding up when he tried to overtake?

BUT, in the vid you’re a dual carriageway and he’s clearly got a lot of speed advantage, which says to me that you’ve not sped up - even to the 50mph legal limit - which puts his other accusation into doubt.

I’d report the git and send the video.

You are correct, my bad

Wayne has a point there could be more to this before the shown film ,not that the drivers conduct was right ,but if someone wants to crack on then let them .

As its been said before " don’t know what went on before " but in saying that there is no need for

  1. slapping on the breaks
  2. you caused more confrontation by pulling along side and having words …( easier said than done I know).
  3. the speed limit before the DC is 40 so if your saying your doing 40 to 44 when you should only be doing 40 your not sticking to the limit as you said. (in legal terms).

should have just taken number and phone number got home run a copy of the incident off and sent to the company’s concerned …

Pop the whole film on eh  Something had been going on before hand but your edit cuts out before we hear what it is :grimacing:

My thoughts exactly.

I noticed the last bit of dialogue from Mr Angry too.

“Every time we could overtake…” he shouts before the video ends.

We all know what the last bit of that sentence was and we all know how a lot of people with dash cams/helmet cams etc like to antagonise people and create situations for a good YouTube video.

I’m not saying that did or did not happen and I’m in no way condoning Mr Angry’s actions, but I put it to the TruckNet jury that it’s possible the OP is a 40mph single carriageway and 56mph dual carriageway kind of bloke.

I did wonder what the end of the sentence would’ve been, played it back several times to see if I’d missed anything. Who was the first person to yell 'king pri–?" Had my son in the room so had to turn volume right down…

Why??Would he of pointed the finger?? :grimacing:

Something has happened prior to that, or else why would driver A call him names as he is overtaking before he even gets level with the cab. Life is too short for awe this pish it happens regular. Nobody has patience and everyone thinks they are right recipe for disaster.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling Driver A has been speeding up at overtaking points. Who knows just why the f’ing and jeff’ing before the brake test? Or perhaps driver B has been seriously tailgating that could explain the f’ing and jeff’ing.

All i was doing was driving at 40. There aint any overtaking places on that stretch until the place he went past. The guy was sitting on my ■■■ the whole way along flashing his lights & weaving around behind me. I could post the whole journey with the speed to prove it but would be a tad boring to watch. My company are hot on speeding so I prefer to sit back & enjoy the ride. Never in a rush these days. He shouts move over prick as he drives past.

but you did say

I was driving at 40-44mph

so your over the limit at some point (s)… :open_mouth:

as alphonsohall says, film footage straight to his employer, possibly the police as well,i would not hesitate because its dicks like him that give us a bad name

Whether the OP is doing 40 or not, the limit is 40 where the gas wagon overtakes. There is no central reservation or grassed area separating it from the oncoming lane.
Calor gas haulier is a prick.

I don’t buy it, the response was way too much. :grimacing:
Perhaps you aren’t as good a driver as you think and were unaware of the actions that prompted the incident ?
