Damage at Charnock Richard

as above 21yrs same place .left to come to Canada …got my week lying money I went in and complained …they only went and gave me the kin week lying money I earned in 1987 ffs / ended up telling them to stick it sideways!

I’ve been given a measuring stick to use , but if I measure the height of the load 10 times I get 10 different height , I wouldn’t go under a car pump canopy but I do duck if I park on the truck pumps to pop in and get a paper , they must be fairly high though as according to some of my
Measurements I should be dam close to clipping them but don’t .
With all the technology about you’d think we could get something we just point at the load and gives us a read out of height , much better than waggling a stick 15 ft in the air and praying

You can’t even do something simple like using a measuring stick? Maybe if you stop waggling it…

:unamused:

I was at school in the 60s/early 70s not driving up and down the A6 in a Thames Trader dressed in an Army greatcoat and clogs like you were
I remember my Dad collecting them though.

The place I use to work had agency driver in one day.

Was regular pick up near Reading can’t remember name of the small village/town.
It was a bit of a awkward place to get into anyways the chap reversed in yard and took a corner of a roof of house clean of the building on his visible side how the ■■■■ do you mange that I don’t know.
You have to reverse 50m so it’s not on turn or nothing just reversed straight onto the Roof of a house.

He had been driving 30 years :open_mouth:
