Daf LF stalk

We have recently bought a Daf LF 02 reg but so far haven’t worked out what the long thin stalk is that sticks up on the left side of the steering wheel. Its not marked with any thing so what does it do■■?
Cheers

exhaust brake?

IIRC, it is the steering column adjusting stalk

My dad tried it and it didn’t do anything.

It seams a bit flimsy, its the one that sticks up??

if its bent then it will be the exhaust brake

its the exhaust brake mate, common fault if its not working, they sieze up!

It’s the switch for the exhaust brake.

They don’t take much to snap off either.

its defo the exaust brake but dont worry about it its as much use as a paper fire guard or an ashtray on a motorbike

Probably why it seemed like nothing was happening.

Cheers everyone.

■■■■, and the guy in the Harley shop said the bling ashtray he sold me would be perfect, mounted above the handlebars along with the king sized cup holder

Its an auto exahust brake IF the lights on the dash are working (rare on a Daf) you will see a black circle ona yellow background come on when you brake.

Nah,far too obvious mate. :open_mouth:
You can always get an answer on here though. :grimacing:

Its in the manual but I still couldn’t sort out mine. I assume its broken as it makes no difference to the drive and I get no dash lights.
