The ■■■■ on the bike made a ■■■■ of it and thats was the price he payed his fault.
Even on a green light I still slow a little and look left right and left! I also look both ways as a pedestrian when crossing a one way street - not everybody does what they should do!

Evil8Beezle:
Because he also uses triple line spacing and has no understanding of capital letters or punctuation…This never happened did it?
We are not scoring points on grammar now are we?
You never started a grammar scoring defamatory post against someone with the word “Because”The forum which keeps on giving.
BECAUSE, if someone wants to start calling others thick, they should be setting reasonable standards themselves…
See, you can start a sentence with because!

“Because you’re worth it”
this is why cyclist should have insurance, who pays for the damage and a points system

All of which , he managed to miss , or chose to ignore , including the 5 , red lights which can be seen on approach .Confusing indeed

i hope you dont drive on the roads with your casual observation skills !!
1 he is a cyclist !!
2 the 5 red lights apply to vehicles !!
3 the cycle lane enters the footpath before the traffic lights !!
4 the green cycle light facing him is to actually turn tight !!
the red cycle light for straight on is set at 90 degrees to his approach !!!
5 the crossing is at fault .
as bluey says "the junction is a bit of a mess, "
- and i would add , you have proved it confuses idiots
Oh , Vividborerwind ,
You really really grasp at every possible straw , & select only snippets which suit you
(sir )
Points numbered , so you may try to gain some semblance of understanding
1 Is that a reason , or an excuse ? Rules of the road apply to cyclists , as much as they do to vehicles
2 As much as you dislike, and do not agree , red lights apply to everything on the road , cyclists , tractors , cars , lorries , horse drawn vehicles etc. etc.
3 Your cyclist failed to observe, or chose to ignore this , resulting in his acrobatics, as witnessed in the video . Guess what ? . If he had chosen to follow this , he would have still been in one piece , & a bit less bruised .
4 You say turn tight , well he certainly accomplished that part
5 Whether the crossing is at fault , or not, does not even begin to come into the equation,
if used properly there will be very little wrong with the set up , but unfortunately you cannot legislate for stupidity.
6 It sure as hell seems to confuse you , as if he had exited the cycle lane as indicated by the arrow , then proceeded forwards , hazard a guess , the green cycle light would only have been right beside him.
But , unfortunately, there are none as blind as those who will not see , & none as deaf as those who do not wish to hear

at least we can agree that numberplates would have made little difference here
Hmmm although this area is not eligable for cyclist plates or as its better known CIN (Cyclist Identification Numbers) any form of accountability by its very nature brings added responsibility which at the very least would mean cyclists take more care at junctions not just go for it and end up presented on youtube for our entertainment. Knowing the lad in question is OK after this allows us to joke about it.
There is little doubt this lad will be a better/safer cyclist as a result of this misshap in the sameway as your average motorist be it car truck etc is better after a near miss or accident where they know it could have been avoided by not driving like a twunt.
Still early days but I have it on good authority that CIN (or as cyclists will call them ‘Sin’) plates/stickers will be trialed in central London by 2017. Traffic light cameras are already catching cyclists but with no identification marks the images are useless.
To appease the cyclist lobby groups there will be an amnesty period of warning letters then once this is over fines will be issued. Cyclists not displaying a CIN risk a heavy fine and cycle confiscation.
Still early doors but a natural evolution of the city centre cyclist is to be more accountable and therfore more responsible for not only their own safety but the safety of those around them.
Bollox I hear you cry, well remember you heard it here first…
Saw a sign the other day, attached to a set of traffic lights “Cyclists Don’t Jump Red Lights”.
Pretty sure it was an imperative, not an advertisement…
Had to look twice, cos I didn’t think it was for real.

Was it next to a sign saying “Bears don’t crap in the woods”

Glad the young lads going to be OK.
Look at me taking the high ground. Now just have to crop and resize the video for my cycling forum avatar, they just love a troll that lot.
8/10 for the tripple sumersault with pike finish.8/10 mmm. nice one ,was he wearing a helmut? he’d have had to be wearing it on his ar*e to have been any use ,i will sleep better tonight having watched that , thanks
+1…just warms the cockles of my heart watching him get splattered like the nob he is…
Your from Glasgow so we know u ain’t got a heart [emoji51]
This cyclist is phenomenal. I reckon that if all cyclists stuck to his “routes” then we’d all get along better!
He’s incredibly talented, but even he gets it wrong from time to time…
Jesus, the lengths some of them will go to avoid a red light
What a pity it wasn’t chester. I think the t**t on the bike got what he was looking for. Poor bugger with the car has now got trouble because of this half wit and some idiots still come on trying to defend cyclist’s at large. How come I could ride a bike through London when I was a kid and keep out of trouble ? … because I was sensible and stopped at red lights etc.

What about the cyclist in following video ? I think he will stop next time…
