No replies! Is it that quiete in London/South East? Must be the recession. :frowning:

You’ll be doing well if you get more than a 10% reply rate,it’s junk mail after all,but then again there’s every chance that you’ll get THAT phone call out of the blue.Save a few pence and only use 2nd Class Stamps.

I live in North London. It’s very quiet down here at the moment…I’ve been looking for permanent work for about a year now without success. There’s a reasonable amount of agency work but that can be erratic and the rate of pay isn’t that good. Most agencies either pay a low hourly rate with overtime or a flat rate. Whichever way you look at it I’m earning less money that I was 10 years ago :unamused:

Good luck with the job hunting.

if you are stuck you can always go to a careers advice service. they will help you write your CV or just give you information including an example which you can use as a template for your own CV

AND PLEASE USE A SPELL CHECKER, and stop using standard “jobcentre” CV’s with the standard text “I am a good Team player and also be able to work on my own"

Again I always put my age or date of birth on both covering letter and CV and don’t bother with my school and pre school reports.

I will mention my seventeen O levels if a job deems it necessary, as there doesn’t seem any way of checking back to 1974
