I don’t mind the odd night out but wouldn’t want to be tramping 3-4 nights.
Uk only, distance isn’t really an issue, I’d rather be doing that or trunking as opposed to local multi drop
Difficult area to keep the nights out down to an odd one, purely on the basis on the distances involved, Id be looking at the local multi drop work, safe as houses for getting home and a growing niche for everyone down there on the pallets`…
I know its not what you want, but it would get you through the door, so you can suss out the job, and they can take a shine to you [or not if you clash]….
Gregorys are looking, but Im not too sure if they are represented that far down nowadays …
I do have many years experience of dealing with and loading pallet
Network double deckers, so it would possibly be to my advantage.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind multi drop to some degree, as long as it wasn’t a stupid amount of drops per day
Quality of life , ie not living in a tin box 5 nights a week or day work ie multi drop , builders merchants etc is about your choice or you might earn better working on caravan site in the summer and sign on in the winter.

Try DPD its long shifts but good money apparently. Double Manning on nights but not away
If you fancy a bit of brick and block crane work try Maen Karne at Melbur blockworks St Austell, or try Denis Mays blockworks at st Stephens. Ask for Peter Jago at Denis Mays he’ll know a few local hauliers running out of there who might want drivers.
Just to update this or if anyone else is looking in the area, I got taken on for milk collection from farms with Gregory, based at Dairy Crest, Davidstow. Really enjoying it and decent money too

Good stuff, that’s a lovely job and will develop your skills…watch out for the hill climb on the way into Ashgrove Farm, Tremaine!
Already got some very steep climbs out of some farms, dump the air off the tag axle and stick it in manual for a steady pull
There’s a few where it helps to load just the front compartment too
