Standard MAN fitment is an unpowered tray so it’s about as good as those silver-foil lined bags that you would take on a picnic.

I’m guessing that as ‘standard’ the MAN coolbox is exactly that - a coolbox! If you were buying a standalone it’d be the £20 - £50 type.
The conversion adds (or replaces the current ‘motor’) with a compressor fridge unit. I’m assuming that if you were buying the standalone equivalent then you’d be paying £300 - £700+
I get why it’s so expensive, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of them or might I do better to fork out £500 on a standalone Waeco compressor fridge like this?
My thought process makes me think you’d better off buying the waeco fridge unit, just because you can take it with you if you change jobs, change vehicle and can also sell it on as a standalone to recoup some money if something else happens.
