There have been many, and they outweigh the not so content times which is pretty much all you can ask for.

There have been a lot that are truck related, but the last one I can remember was driving to a location on the North Norfolk coast at about 03:00 one morning last June and watching the sun come up as I was being loaded. It was just a magical time of day…

And here. I couldn’t pinpoint one particular trip or even a particular period.

So many I couldn’t count them, but at risk of being laughed off the forum, the best was forty-eight years ago when my little lady agreed to marry me.

:open_mouth: i say steady old chap … thats a horrible thought …

My first proper european driving trip was a 2 part delivery, stolkholm and helsinki. Got a backload at delivery address in helsinki, all the way back to cork! Closed the doors, locked her up and knew all i had to do was drive home, no time pressure, no ferries booked just make your way home. Brilliant

Should say.

Let me guess, you spilt your pot noodle in your brand new 06 reg truck?

yes even though you wrote it wrong like i infact read it wrong so got what you were on about so re doing what you done did in the first place was pointless …

ya get me …

It was a sort of feeling of content but more of achievement.

The first time i drove a lorry out of Cornwall loaded with produce, something i’d always dreamed of doing.
Four days after passing my test (21yrs old),took a Seddon Atkinson 200 flat to Irlam with 10tons of spuds.
Left at 6pm and drove up through the evening/night.
I thought i’d hit the big time!!!

…I’ve had this dream of driving to Arica and beyond northbound through the high desert… Perfect although single carriageway road. My “Avatar” moment…

This one is worth getting out of a wheelchair for methinks!

Anyone on here familiar with the area of which I speak?

My daughter being born the day after I’d returned home from Italy when I worked for Pan Express. No problem with the boss Dave who to this date is one of the best bosses I’ve ever worked for !!!
