Coach load Manchester to London

Check the price of taking all those people by train, it won’t be much different.

■■■■■ about our wages and then ■■■■■ about paying what appears to be a fair price for a fair service! Quality.

DuckDuck:
Yes I want to hire a full coach for the last Saturday of each month
How cheap could I get it for?
Thanks

Probably around £1100 or so, but maybe up to £1500. Roughly.

Especially during summer as it’s the change over day at holiday venues

A coach is better.Train wont drop them where they want to be

Yes thats what I have been quoted
How much fuel would a 6 wheeler burn on a 400 mile round trip
How much would a driver cost for a 12 hour day
How much would the hire of the actual coach be
And what kind of profit margin do you think they want out of it

I would hazard a guess about half of the lower would seam right
Anyone any ideas on the figures?

What time would you want to leave Manchester and arrive back in Manchester?

Just spoken to a mate. He’s willing to do it for 700 euros plus the ferry from Europoort. All his vehicles are air conditioned. They may be a bit slow but he says he’ll get you there. He’s just not sure if his Dutch plated vehicle is LEZ compliant? Anyway, he’s set aside the last Saturday for the next three months in the diary in anticipation of your booking.

A quick Google, no group discounts etc etc. Leave Manc 08hr00 , leave Lon 23hrs £115 train, £12 bus.

50 people on coach just over £20 each And you go from your chosen start finish points, at time you choose, no need for taxi or tube from Lon station.

Don’t put ideas into his head now he’s going to want it for £600 . That top quote is for a scheduled bus service (in a coach) to Victoria coach station, not like the second which is for a dedicated coach from specific pick ups and drops off in London, with a “can you drop just drop me off at the bottom of my road please driver” on the way home from around half the passengers.

Complain about cameras monitoring your driving? try 40 plus self appointed experts vocally criticising you every action.

Want it on the cheap? buy an old clunker and find out how much it costs to get another coach out to a motorway breakdown at a moment’s notice. Also find out about how hire and reward rules affect attempting that.

You’ve been told multiple time by multiple people, including me someone who started in coach industry and still works in it part time and via me someone who has spent a lifetime in the industry runs his own coach company which has been no mean feat during covid that you got a reasonable quote so maybe just f**** accept it and stop tying to get it on the cheap. Dunno what your position is in this industry but if someone who’s never worked in transport came along and told you transport companies were ripping people off because he can hire a van for £50 you’d rightly tell him to ■■■■ off and stop being a t**t. You strike me as the sort who’d be first to moan when your cheap bargain basement hire coach breaks down and you find they’ve no back up because they’re cheapskates hired by cheapskates.

That reply above was me taking the ■■■■. This reply is me getting really f**** ■■■■■■ off at a know nothing joker. You seemingly want to shaft one of the industries that’s nearly been totally destroyed by covid. It’ll cost over a grand. If you can’t afford it don’t bloody book it.

Welcome to Trucknet. Have a lovely day.

How much does a coach cost to buy? How much interest is playable on that amount? Over what lifetime can that investment be recouped?

Absolutely.
I don’t know if it’s husband and wife teams for crown bowls, or a bunch of lads on the razz, I don’t think I’d fancy either load.

Just worked out cost per head based on a 49 seat coach. Upper quote of £1500 comes out to approximately £30 per person. Lover quote of £1100 comes to £22…….

His expectation of ‘half the lower’ amount, so £550…….£11 per person

Yes, he annoyed me and I’ve a bit of a bee in my bonnet over this now.

Between £22 and £30 quid per head seems reasonable enough to me. [emoji102]

As for the coach hire well…

Certainly a reasonable if not pretty much a bargain in my opinion.

At £550 as he hopes the trip would literally cost the company money.

Just Booked a mid-week, Off-peak standard rail ticket from Manchester to london @ £64 each way

Makes the No doubt plush bespoke coach trip a reasonable price I would say

OP pay me 500quid il do it so long as your happy being I’m the back of the trailer

You’re the back of the trailer? I knew there was something a bit queer about you

After all your shot loads?

I’d advise anybody to politely decline your seemingly benevolent offer.
