Denis F:
just need to remember how to change the display time on my digi tacho
you can only change the time display on the dashboard via the trip computer etc.
Depending on the truck, it may change the time shown on the tacho head but obviously not the internal euro time
Wrong. You can change “local time” on the tacho head too and this will usually automaticly change the time shown on the dash

Just changed it back to 1am…is it ok to do this mid-shift or should I have waited till the end??
If you are talking about a digi you can change the local display time whenever you like, makes no difference.
If you are talking about analogue then end of shift.
If you are just taking the ■■■■, crack on.
Yeah its digi. Just wanted to check incase it screwed up data on the card…we all know how technology gets confused at times this clock changing business always gets me in a muddle

It’s fine to change it mid shift then. You are only changing the local display time, the data is recorded in UTC all year round. You can only change the UTC time by 1 minute per week, any more than that and it’s a workshop job.

Do night workers get an extra hrs pay when the clocks go back?
My girlf worked last night, she’s an HCA for the local health authority and she doesn’t get paid for the extra hour, they just say it’s “swings and roundabouts” because she would get the same pay for working an hour less when the clocks go forward, although she says she never seems to get that shift.
How did you do that? It’s 40 minutes into the future! Can’t believe people don’t get paid for the hours they do in a proper legitimate business, or am I opening a whole new can of worms there?
Well done yet again tacho , watched the vid ,followed instructions, worked first time. One of our drivers got a problem tho his is 10 mins fast. I understand you can only correct it by one minute per day , whats the procedure for this please ? Thanks Jim
I would like to put my clock back to 1960 when driving was driving not wheel turning.and you kept your load on with a length of rope and not a strap. If you got a puncture you and at least half a dozen others changed your tyre without fear of being run over., there where no health and safety jobsworths breathing down your neck, and most of all no bloody tacho’s to tell you when you can work and when you cant.
here endeth the lesson.

One minute per week, not per day. Pretty much same procedure as changing local time. It is in the same section of the menu as changing local time, next option up or down I think, but you can only change it by one minute in either direction rather than in the 30 minute blocks you can change local time.
