I went there for an interview once, and I thought they were a down to earth crowd. But there was a mix up and I thought he wernt interested and so i got the start somewhere else, and once i start i give it a go so when he did phone I had to decline.
so thats my 4p’s worth (inflation), not worked there, but heard good things from people that I value the word of, and liked them when i met them.
I have to agree that most of the people there are down to earth and honest… Had some good laughs and made some decent friends.
The simple fact remains… I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PAID…!!!
Not even an excuse… Just nothing…!!!
I would have thought then even an honest person would face up to the fact that they owe money and what they are going to do about settling the debt…? Not in this case up to now…
There can be all the name calling and back bighting you like, but the original post was about the experiences with this company… and still the experiences keep on comming…
Anyway… I’m glad that it is entertaining quite a few out there and the profile of the said company will have been raised as a result… good or bad…
People have read and taken advice from the original post and the post in and can make up thier own minds. Now this post is just turning into a post where people “slag” eachother off. I am not sticking up for ANY party. I just feel it should be locked or removed.
Cheers

mind your own bloody business if you dont like it look at something else.
Do as the man says and buggger off if you don’t like it
I am fine with that. Its just a few post have become “you did this-you did that” and not about clive cowern transport anymore. Thats the only bit I dissagre with. People picking faults like “you said this and did that” etc to start arguments as thats not what the post is about.
Fair enough, everyone has a right to free speach, and thats why I feel people replying with “I used to work for them and they were great” etc, to show another side of the story is fine. But digging at people personally is almost like the people posting have nothing else to say but want to keep an argument going between other members. This I do not like. So, to take jessicas dad advice I am going to mind my own bloody business and look at something else. After all, this is how I get treated in the NHS, so why expect driving to be any different.
Cheers all
NB
how is it the same as you get treated in the nhs. i think the nhs do a wonderful job. the doctors are second to none and the nurses are probably some of the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet. sometimes they can be a bit short with people but dont we all have bad days and snap at people? i support the nhs to the end of the earth, its just the pricks running it that haven’t got a clue!!!
anyway… back to the argument, anybody know who’s turn it is■■?
They do a great job, they make you wait six months, leave you lying in your own ■■■■, and pass on MRSA to you !! As you say, its not the staff themselves, it’s erm…whoever it is that does it all !!!

Im ■■■■■■■ myself here (and I’ll be left lying in it) ■■■■ me Mike thats funny!
Looking at the spelling of some of his drivers he is not bothered about employing people who are challenged by literature . In the defence of the chap at truckfest he probably could not read AMBULANCE
Since time immemorial…or at least since the birth of the transport industry, this has been a standing factor. There will be a core of drivers who love the company they work for. Then there will be the odd persons who feel they do not fit in , or find that they do not like certain working practices, and become vocal in the condemnation of said company .
I have been on both sides, vehemntly standing up for the company and it’s working ethics because I was ‘one of the lads’ . But, I have also been on the downside, openly trying to undermine another company on how it operates, because at the time I thought I knew better, and I did not fit in with the ‘clique’ .
At the end of the day, we are all individuals. One day you will find a company that you feel comfortable with, at 54 years of age I am still looking
Twoninety88, that’s the most intelligent thing i’ve read yet. Every company i’ve been at and that includes my own, has a group of people that get on with each other and the company and others that you think, why are you staying if it’s that bad?
If you’re not happy, move on, become an OD, male model , whatever but staying somewhere you aren’t happy with does no one any favours.
In the course of this thread I have had to ask numerous people to edit their posts, and to credit to all they have done so without a complaint except one and that comment has been removed pending proof being recieved
But I want it made very clear here, do not make any allegations that you cannot substantiate, if you make an allegation of wrong doing, and cannot prove it then not only are you liable to be sued, but so are the website owners.
Hearsay, a mate down the pub told me, I heard while ago on the ferrry, is not proof of anything, do not make specfific allegations against anyone unless you can back it up.
If this thread continues on innuedo and unconfirmed, unproven allegations then it will be removed.
You have been warned guys. any further comments like that will be removed will require the poster to send to me documentry evidence before it is reinstated

on the 20 quid nights out did he pay ya prking on top of that
he does not pay for parking you have to make do with laybyes or industrial estates
I dont know clive cowern or any of his drivers but in my opinion he cant be that great a boss if he refuses to pay parking for his own vehicles. It’s 2008 not 1908 .
Its gone quiet? Do u reckon they all gone for a team building weekend?
the reason its gone quiet m8 has we have nothing realy more to say about this company we have acheived what we set out to do and that was to make other drivers aware of this company fair enough they offer you a nice new shiney truck but at price so if it sounds good to you then go work for him but bair in mind your basic wage is £300 quid before tax the rest is all bonus which you lose at the drop of a hat
