Well I passed, and despite the same comments I get over and over on here, (which i did take on board) I did listen and have changed my attitude and the way I deal with other people on the road. I take a breath and just let it go. I have done for some time now but most of you wouldn’t watch any of my recent ones anyway. driving a class 2 with not much onboard is nothing like class one and I understand you cant throw class 1 about the same and get away with it. I have a new found respect for the job and settled down. I know some of you just hate me and nothing I will say will change your mind (some people are able to change some arnt) I wanted to say thanks I have read some of the hint and tips others have asked about class one and they helped so thanks for the good advice.

If you don’t mind I’ll save any congratulations on the cat 1 pass for a while so we can see if you really have changed your attitude towards other road users or if it’s just talk.

Having said that, if you really have changed your attitude towards other road users and you’re trying to become a better and safer HGV driver, I’m sure some of us will sleep easier at night so keep up the good work :stuck_out_tongue: :wink:

All that swearing and abuse of other motorists, I would never hire you .
Let me know when you are on the road so we can steer clear and keep out of the way.
One day you will end up a cropper driving like that .

Do a search for that name on a well known video sharing website and you’ll see his videos (I don’t think he needs any more direct links to boost his channel views).

There have been previous threads on here which have been somewhat critical of the manner of driving shown in said videos.

Lets just say there are drivers out there who create accidents and potentially dangerous situations and video them, then edit the videos to make it look like everything was the other drivers fault and put the videos on Youtube.

Luckily a lot of drivers on this board are not easily fooled by such antics :wink:

I am sort of with you on this one Rob. My main concern is with innocent people not getting squashed by a moron in a 44 tonner. And if TJ has seen the damage caused by aggressive driving in bendy’s, and has calmed down then fair play.

He still looks like the love child of Professor Stephen Hawking and Fern Britton though…

We all get frustrated by the antics of others on the road, and retaliating is sinking to their level, so let it go…
How much difference to your ETA does it really make, and will aggressive actions educate the offender, or escalate things? :unamused:

Also glad you took some time to LEARN a little by reading some of the advice, I’ve found it invaluable, and my father! :open_mouth:

Overall I really do wish you well in this demonstration of humility, just kerb the temper and you’ll get less stick on here! :laughing:

Just hang on a minute mate, I built the first 2 years of my carreer wearing one pretending I was Burt Reynolds in Smokey and The Bandit,… ok, I know The Bandit had a Kenworth and never drove a Bedford TK admittedlly, but I was young, impressionable and innocent. :smiley:

But Jay mate, if you do decide to keep it when driving an artic, ffs…NEVER EVER wear it back to front !!

I don’t recall ever commenting on Trucker Jays shennanigans because quite frankly I wasn’t particularly interested tbh, but IF TJ has become a reformed character then I say fair play to him as it takes a big man to not only recognise his flaws but to also address them too. Also, if in any way the critique he received here is responsible for his reformation then I think that you guys who contributed should also give yourselves a big pat on the back as you may just have saved some lives, and THAT my friends is a huge accomplishment.
