nick2008:

Think so, mine go back tomorrow

milkmark, on a another topic you wrote

milkmark:
I am now a Limited Company as of the start of last week

As a limited comp I’m sure you are fully insured, maybe you should make a claim against yourself?

Are you Boss & Driver in disguise?

Can’t be, even if it is daft, it’s understandable, spelt properly and even has punctuation!

The word Knob comes to mind

Really makes you wonder about the human race as a whole, how the hell did we make it to the top of the food chain.

Mc Donalds have a lot to answer for

Carryfast, where are you on this one? We need a twenty page essay about Franz Ferdinand,Tony Blair and Sooty and Sweep.
It is all Hitler’s fault.

oatcake1967:
Watch out for that coffee,
it may be hot. :sunglasses:

If thats a refrence to the woman who claimed for spilling coffee on herself, you really should watch the documentary ā€˜hot coffee.’

Waaaaay more to it then the headline.

That being said OP is on a different planet!

reeling them in like fish OP

great troll thread.

This is either thread of the year, or the OP is a total ■■■■■■…

Whichever one it is I hope I never have to meet him.

And don’t let Happy Keith see this thread please. He’s bound to find some angle from the OP in which to blame the EU.

I have just looked at his other posts, the OP appears to have phished for claims support of sweet fa before… This delicate flower has got previous.

Maybe you can only claim for acceptable risk ?

Appreciate the feedback however harsh. I was defecting the trailer every day for about two weeks but was then asked not to and the defect book was removed from the cab. I hold my hands up and admit that my limited experience probably shows here but I considered that the strap supporting the leg in the elevated position was safe and I didn’t consider the possibility of the strap failing… I have not come across a failing strap before. I assumed (wrongly) that the strap was fit for purpose which, in my view, rendered the vehicle safe.

Straps are designed to secure a load to the topside of the deck. They were never designed to stop something dropping down when in motion, or to become a semi permanent bodge job, so some mechanic can have an easy day. That strap would have been like a red rag to a bull to a VOSA inspector.

We all learn the hard way even with harsh words that at the time feel like people are having a go …
With your main comment in the OP being about claiming for something you participated in ,

If the vehicle has a defect as you clearly had if its not sorted by the next day or at most 2 then its clearly a safety issue and no matter what you should have words with the Traffic office pointing out its not safe then refusing the trailer.
if anything had happened you can be sure they WILL always blame YOU the driver …

Make a note of any and all defects in your diary along with the defect number just in case the book goes missing

Appreciate the advice… thanks.

milkmark:
Appreciate the advice… thanks.

you can always use your camera phone to picture the defect report and the defect …

As your a newish driver just a tip for you …

Any damage marks or defects on any vehicle you take out ( mainly agency ) detail photograph and report BEFORE moving the vehicle… some places wont believe you didn’t do it after you have moved it
