Cheshire / north wales trucks

here,s a few more local trucks

theres some nice motors at the end all F W 'd up… :sunglasses:

i think you should have put the black sport on the last pics aswell mate…

Thanks for the tipper pics, mate.

I’ve had em all on here before but GSL are North Wales so kinda in keeping i suppose!!!

heres a couple from my time working out of ellesmere port, which i just might get away with as its south cheshire…lol.

first one tipping hypochlorite (bleach) at preston.

and tipping sulphur at runcorn. easy job but the smell around the house nearly cause a divorce!..lol.

OK stretching it a bit but Nantwich is Cheshire and so is Moreton (Ty - phoo contract!) Any excuse to put my truck on!

How many dafs do gwynedd run? never seen one before thought they were only volvo’s and mercs

They had just the one 480 Superspace, although its gone back now.

They also had a few flat cabbed TGA - XL’s for a while, some plain white some in GSL colours.

A subbie had 2 R series Scanias in GSL colours a couple of years ago, one topline and one standard, gone now.

Years ago John Phillips (Skid steer Services) had an EC11 Olympic in GSL colours.

Years ago they had a Version 1 FH - 460 Globetrotter XL in green and gold (Non metalic) as a flagship. See this often when i’m over east of England way, not sure if its still going, will be an old motor now, he always flashed me when i was in a GSL motor tho!

Then when the Version 2’s came out they had 3 metalic Globetrotter XL’s, a silver, blue and green, all 460’s. All office packs. The silver one is now owned by Menai Freight… The green one pulls a tipper (Easy to spot as it has 8 yellow spots), and not sure of the blue one.

Before that… Version 1 FH’s (Flat cabs)… Version 1 FM (Flat and Globys)… P cab scania’s… Scania 113’s.

History lesson over!
The Mercs are rented, as are any of the Volvo’s that don’t carry GSL plates.

The trailers, 800 ish are all owned by Gwynedd.

There are approx 35-40 tractors at any given time and subbies as and when.

No mate, it belongs to Menai Freight, pulls Boxes.

I still see the Green one about, easy to spot with Yellow Spots and ■■■■■ quality paint (the green never looked right)!!!

Not seen the blue one, well i probably have but not that i’ve recognised it!

Used to see their old Version 1 XL-460 a lot, that was a stunning motor, the origional Flagship motor!!!

Some familiar looking trucks here being local to me… I do like them Simon Tippers… Although lately not liking the green headlihght covers.

That Scania tipper of GT’s Roadrunners always looks immaculate!!
