I think it all depends which part of the country you are from , as to how you pronounce this name , a well run company none the less .

Seems like there are quite a few spares for sale including complete engines. One of the tractor units is a Big J with Leyland/Eaton/Eaton drivetrain (sorry, no 8LXB!)

Hi, Folks , In the late 50 s i used to go with my Dad Lever BROS , PORT Sunlight to load Cattle Feed , There was a firm from Gnosall Staffs ran Bmcs and Traders and a few ERF s called PLANT and Evens a very tidy Fleet is it any thing to do with Plants of Macclesfield , Cheers Barry

Hiya… b.waddy… no is the answer to your question. i’am pritty certain Plants from Knowsall(Stafford)was one of the first
customers of ERF,s to use ■■■■■■■ engines.Plant,s of Knowsall was a company simular to Gordon Plant(macc) that people looked up to.

a cheese rolled forward and crashed through the headboard.as you said bright red with black chassis

I went through some old commercial motor mags over the weekend and saw this and knew I’d seen something somewhere about it. Here it is in it’s glory in cm jan 29th 1965
