Cheap in cab camera....with a difference

Autoboy black box and daily roads can both run in the background. You can play music, make calls etc. with them running. They auto detect anything over a predetermined G-force (you can adjust the sensitivity in the settings) or you tap the screen and it will save the last however many minutes you set as well as records and saves however many minutes you set after the shock sensor is triggered.
As said, Autoboy doesn’t ■■■■ the battery like DRV does. (I found even with the phone on charge DRV with GPS switched on drains the battery quicker than the charger can recharge) Also Daily Roads only works in Landsacape, where as Autoboy works in portrait as well so you can sit your phone the right way up in the windscreen.

I’ve trialed most of the blackbox aps, and found that auto boy black box is the better all round package.

It must be noted though, as I’ve said in my previous post, android doesn’t have the capability to overlay any telemetary or position on the recorded images. Even if you purchase the paid version of Daily roads, it uploads the saved images to it’s own server which can playback with all the recorded info. The images on your phone will not have location, speed etc stamped on them though.
