Charles Ingram A9

Gave him a friendly blast on the air horns this morning  he waved back for acknowledgement but I couldn’t stop as I had no money or food with me! :sunglasses: it’s getting colder up there and had a little bit of a snow flurry for five mins too around aviemore! :unamused: only had two muppets ( I mean licence holders! ) who stuck to 40 mph then jumped on the limiter on the dual carriageway! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:
What’s a pensioner in this day and age living in his car for beside the a9? :imp: :unamused: I know poverty in England is between £650/ £800 a week driving an artic :grimacing: :grimacing: but come on this is 2014! :smiling_imp: :open_mouth: DONT COUNT YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCH DRIVERS, the rumus and Bulgars are coming to take your jobs!

Fatboy slimslow:
What’s a pensioner in this day and age living in his car for beside the a9?

It’s his lifestyle choice.

true :sunglasses: but two winters Harry? Come on :unamused: I say fair play to the lad, but anything can be sorted

I’ve no doubt he has been offered alternative accommodation by Social Services on numerous occasions but he doesn’t want to live in an old people’s home, he wants to live in his car.

Fair play to him.

Yes quite a few times but has refused it each time, end of day it is his choice

Yes, a great shame, but there are pensioners, living within a brick wall environment, who are equally just as worse off, he chose to live that way, i know where i would choose, if push came to shove, and the car would be the first to go, but fair play to him for sticking to his principles, man of my own heart.

And Mr fatboy, how many people do you know, have lost their jobs to a Romanian or Bulgarian driver, the majority of them would be better off in their own country anyway, rather than live the way a lot of them do at the moment.
The only issue i have, are with the Sigun, Roma, for they have the same passport nationality stamp. The majority are here to rob, thieve, scam, mug or whatever, these are the people living rough in our cities, incl London, park lane, and in shop doorways etc, those who beg in freezing weather, with a snotty nosed kid in a rickety old pushchair, and use public spaces as a toilet, and not forgetting the benefits they are entitled to ( i`m not sticking up for them for that, but blame our government, who knew they were coming, and did F/A about it ) and when they tried, said, they could claim benefits for 3 months, and if they never had a job, they would stop it. Nearly all of the Romanians and Bulgarians, will not claim a penny, they will go back home if working here doesnt pay, after al, wouldnt you do the same, be in a strange country, few friends, very little money to survive on, and very expensive accommodation, and sky high food prices, so when you get the proof that they will soon be after your job, as you stated, please post on T/N.

I dropped a few tins of food and an old sleeping bag off to him last week.He was saying that he’s not sleeping too well at night because of the cold, but as others have said, it’s his choice to live like that.
While I was with him several trucks passed and blew their horns.Charlie said he appreciates this and feels that the boys are looking out for him.
I know that I feel a lot happier when I see him moving
