Liz Dawn ( Vera Duckworth ) I had another good day working with her at Southport Theatre, when she was the support act for John Hanson ( the Red Shadow), back in the Eighties. Having finished her set, she left the stage, came through the pass door into the dressing block, I’m stood outside the crew room holding a virtually full pint of bitter, As she passed me, she took the pint off me, necked it, and entered her dressing room, after a few minutes she returned and put a fiver in my hand then plonked a kiss on my check. A true Trooper of the old school. RIP Liz.
