Just been announced Napoleon solo AKA Robert Vaughn has died Aged 83

Used to love ‘The man from UNCLE’ 60s tv series as a kid with him and David McCallum.
Napoleon Solo, Illya Kuryakin, and Mr Waverley the controller.
(not to be confused with The Fat Controller off Thomas the tank engine  )
They also made a few movies…loved them.

Does anybody remember the picture cards ( in black and white  ) you bought with chewing gum, you collected and swapped, As well as photos of stills from the tv programme on the front, there was part pics on the back, that made up a complete giant jigsaw type pic when you collected the full set…No?? ok, just me then
I’ve still got them somewhere.

Nobody going to mention Andrew Sachs, famous for Manuel from Fawlty Towers, who died 2 days ago.

When the remaining members of Status Quo were asked how they wanted Rick Parfitt to be buried, they said…

Down down, deeper and down.

It seems we can now add George Michael to the list. That was unexpected.

Very good!

So maybe ■■■■ ■■■ and crack cocaine isn’t the way forward? :open_mouth:

Didn’t agree with his lifestyle, but you can’t argue his talent.
Me and the Mrs were going to see him at his last tour but he cancelled through ill health.
He didn’t take himself too seriously either, (look for the Comic Relief sketch with James Corden on you tube, that vid after he got caught in the bogs in the US, and his next album title after it all kicked off…‘‘Ladies and Gentlemen’’
RIP George.

I once wrote him a fan letter and he told me he would gladly meet me, …AND at my own convenience.
