Insurance companies say they charge brand new drivers more because as a group are more likely to be involved in a collision. So they say, but I can believe it. I wonder if the same statistically for new LGV drivers?

yes same for new lgv drivers, my boss has 3 drivers under 25 and he says it cost him an extra £8000 on his insurance premium

I believe that Motoring has become too cheap for too many. It’s the affordability rather than ‘driving ability’ that is putting more and more “unsuitable” drivers on the already overcrowded roads day by day… :frowning:

Anybody on here remember the shock of hearing the content of a driving test in one particular Middle-Eastern country back in the 80s, which was to drive forwards 100m and then repeat backwards? Lots of those people who passed then are still bumbling around the place…
