Marginally better than a basic fan.
EDIT: just to add, I haven’t tried yet, but they’re supposed a lot more effective with chilled water, so if you’ve got a fridge to chill some water in it might be more worthwhile.

The latest Volvo and Scarnia have night cool fitted in them, basically the air-con runs from the batteries, it’s meant to be the dangly bits…Also has anybody tried those chiller thinks that are on ebay this sort of thing…

Heard that myself,even phoned volvo and scania for confirmation,fairly sure they’re an add on for bigger spondoolies.

Manalishi - if your employer is the type to provide TVs and microwaves, I’m surprised there not willing to fit some sort of cab cooling for overnight.I only tramped for a year and quite enjoyed it, but one of the reasons I wouldn’t do it again is the issue of trying to sleep in weather like this.

Oh nearly forgot,they are treating us to some driver facing cameras as well which is my q to foxtrot oscar.
Volvo i cool Is good but it is over protective of the batteries, yesterday dash showing 34 I got 6 hours out of it before it cut off . Had it on a 64 and it was good this 18 plate is a huge improvement much more efficient and quieter when running .
